The only thing that i think is vulnerable outside of warranty items, would be the tires, chain and pedals. But even if the chain breaks or pedals fall off (which they shouldn’t) the bike can still work just on the throttle to get back to your home base. If the tires go, you are in trouble.

I purchased a softer seat, a suspension seat post (redshift shockstop and a shim), a handle bar mirror, a handle bar phone holder, a crank guard and the NCM rear rack/front light assembly. Don’t forget the Chain lube and pedal/seat post grease.

Got this from Leon Cycles. Was easy to install, but needed to take off battery connector part on frame to get to the hidden cable. Then had to fish it through the rubber gasket to connect to the front light.

Just installed my new NCM rack and light set If it’s the same cable I’m thinking about, the smaller cable is for the front light attachment sold separately. I just purchased the rack and light kit and needed that cable to attach the light.

Thanks John. Can you explain what you mean 28T, 38-14 and 48. I’m a novice. I only know the left shifter (for front crank) goes between 1 to 3 and the right shifter (for rear hub) goes between 1 to 8. The lower the number, the easier it is to pedal. And I know not to have the chain too far...

With 24 gears to choose from on this bike, what gears do you actually use? Does anyone actually take the motor off (save about 9 pounds of weight) and just ride it as a bike? Not that I plan on doing it, but just curious.
