    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

Thank you for posting your experience. I do like Bike_On's description: "It is an LPA." I'm learning to also add: It is an LPA bike which meets European standards. Yesterday some of my students had a nice way of saying it also: it's part bike and part electric. I try very hard to be an...

Easy Motion Street: System Power Cuts Out

I did also replace the battery plug to controller (just last week) which has solved the transient power problems I was having. Someone also suggested the holder for the display can be slightly warped if the mount is tightened too much. Mike NeoJumper 26"

I replaced my controller in April. BH indicated the new controller manages heat better. I notice the wires on the new one appear to be a thicker gauge (may 12 vs 14). I have wondered about trying to alter the plastic covering to permit more airflow over the controller. How hot does yours feel...

Sounds like you are a dedicated rider with much to share. Similar to you I've had multiple problems which I've solved because I do love riding my ebike. I know error code 5 on my NeoJumper means a sensor problem back with the motor. After checking that all wires were plugged in I ended up...

BH / Dapu M155 freehub, parts and maintenance?

I've found bh emotion will answer questions like this. Probably best to start at: http://www.emotionbikesusa.com It did take time to get a tech and a response (several days via e-mail). They do have a 5 year warranty on parts if you registered on line. Mike

Thanks for the comments. I do indeed need to adjust the air in the shocks, as well as in the tires. I get the best response with the lowest amount of air. I weigh around 200 lb, and keep the rear shock around 160 lb or lower. I ride it like a downhill style bike, so I'll take obstacles head on...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

To clarify, the anti-ebike sentiment is not coming from Colorado, but from mountain bike forums and multiple national mountain bike users. The Outside Magazine article summarizes it well http://www.outsideonline.com/1927861/why-we-shouldnt-hate-e-bikes Like the author of the article I'm...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

There are tremendous feelings against the use of e-bikes on single track, with threats of physical violence by some mountain bikers ("bash their teeth out"). Outside (link) Magazine had an excellent summary at the end of last year. This is a time we can influence future decisions if we find ways...

    Faster Charging?

Thanks, good info. If EasyMotion has decided they will not support a higher than 2 amp charger I'll just have to accept that and move on. The NeoJumper is a great fit for the type of riding I end up doing so I'll likely be keeping it for several years. I've given thought to how to run a charger...

    Faster Charging?

    Thanks, that helps.

    Faster Charging?

Ann, It is rated as a 2 amp charger. The labeled voltage is 36 volts, but the measured voltage is around 42 volts.

    Faster Charging?

What type of charging times are others on the forum getting? As Ann points out I don't want a class D fire event, but I also would like less than 6 hours to charge a 12 Ah battery.

    Faster Charging?

Sina, Thank you for the suggestion. I do have two batteries (9Ah and 12Ah). Are you getting 2-4 hours of recharge time from batteries discharged so only 1 bar shows? Mike

    Faster Charging?

Has anyone found a way to charge the batteries faster? I'd like to do some car camp trips and bike riding. Currently it takes around 5-6 hours to charge my 12 Ah battery. In theory it seems like an inverter generator able to run at 1800 watts (like a Honda 2000) should be able to charge the...

New Neo Jumper owner from Kentucky - intro and questions

Sounds like you have a great bike. I keep my 26" NeoJumper setting at 26". It agrees with the speed a local radar registers, so I'm guessing the 26" setting is the correct one for the 26" jumper. I don't know of a way to replace the plastic battery outer case. It has been very rugged for me...

    "No Electric Bikes Allowed"

The BLM has moved to clearly ban all forms of electric bikes on most mountain bike trails (link BLM Utah ), as of this year. The move is very disappointing. I did write to the BLM office in Utah asking for reasons and clarification, but did not receive a reply. There is a need for responsible...

    1500 mile update NeoJumper 26"

I'm using a Venzo Bike Torque Wrench, which costs around $50. Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/VENZO-Bicycle-Torque-Wrench-Socket/dp/B00811WQT8 Setting a torque of 1 N-m does concern me, so I very seldom adjust the the Hall Torque Plate. And only do so after cleaning doesn't clear up the...

    1500 mile update NeoJumper 26"

Well, it’s been 1500 miles on my Neo Jumper and 1 year 3 months. I’m very happy with the bike, although there have been problems. Mountain biking is why I purchased this bike, and it’s my main use. The suspension handles rocky trails well. It is best to hit obstacle head-on, as the fairly...
