    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

FYI. For you who have received or are in the process of receiving or ordering - Make sure you, when receiving, to check the gravel bike out for "defects". Looks like some QC issues. I have advised Ride1Up. For me so far (all of which I have or can handle): 1. Front wheel out of true 2...

    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

Taylor you may want to also check your headset. I noticed mine is loose. Not a big deal to tighten. Couple of other observations: 1. Yes the bike weights more than 33#'s. I came up with it at 35.7#, so close to your 36#'s. 2. The bike is bigger (taller) than the "regular" V2. Standover...

    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

Front or back or both? My regular V2's front wheel was out of true and the axle cone was too tight. My gravel is a bit out of true but just a smidge. But the axle cone is again too tight. So are your wheels in true? Have you contacted Ride1Up or gone to their FAQ pages? Lots of help there...

    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

Interesting. Mine is the smaller sized one (52cm). Yours? Not that sure how accurate my scale is. Was more a test to see the difference between the two. I'm away for awhile but will weight both on a more accurate scale when I get back. Haven't put on the battery extender yet.

    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

A pleasant surprise today, my Gravel arrived AND so did the battery extender (still in the box). Everything went together fine - no issues. The front wheel might be a bit out of true but I'll deal with that if it actually is. I have the Roadster V2 as well and I really like it. That's why I...

    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

Mine (Gravel) is still at Fedex Troutdale (OR). I also have a V2 roadster now. Fits me perfect and I can climb some pretty good hills. Will try doing the Crown Point climb that someone thinks can't be done on a single speed (have on an analog bike in the past) - either with the V2 (probably)...

    Roadster V2 Gravel Edition

So Taylor have you received your gravel? They're in stock. I just ordered one. Nufo - just guessing on speed probably a MPH or 2. Range - we'll see.

    New Aventon Model coming..

Couple of additional points: 1. Weight on the single speed is 41#, 43# on the 7-speed. So lighter than the Aero but heavier than the Rize "Fixie" (34#), Ride1Up V2 (32-33#), Tenways (34#) and the Luna (39#). 2. Standover height is fairly "robust" on the 2 sizes listed - +31" and 32.6". 3...

2 Rad Power Bikes in the back of a Subaru Outback?

No just kidding. I like Subaru's. Can my Crosstrek go where my Jeep can go - no, even though it (Crosstrek) is somewhat modified. Well except in snow, then the Subie shines. How is the Radmini you ask. I like my mini. You might want to consider them (still at $1299), especially now, before...

2 Rad Power Bikes in the back of a Subaru Outback?

No. I believe one could come with an alternative mounting point/solution. But....on the Subaru's, the area at the back is just a lift up cover over the spare tire storage area. So you'd just be drilling thru that. To me that would not be an issue. No doubts, to carry 2 RadRovers - a rack...

2 Rad Power Bikes in the back of a Subaru Outback?

Or if you really want to keep them inside the Outback. A floor thru axle mount. I know Rocky Mount has one and I believe Yakima does also - they're like 80 bucks each. You'd need to do some drilling to mount on the floor and take off the front wheel. Looks like there is probably enough head...

2 Rad Power Bikes in the back of a Subaru Outback?

Depending on the year, I think the Outack is about 2" short. RadRover 6 is 77" long. The 2022 Outback rear length from the 1st row (front seats) is 75". You would need to remove the front wheels, then it would fit fine. FYI - I carry a Radmini folded in the back of my Crosstrek all the time...

    Espin Aero... any firsthand feedback?

No firsthand experience with the Aero. But have you seen the crazy promotion Espin is running thru the end of the year? Buy one at $799, get the 2nd one for $399. https://www.espinbikes.com/pages/2021-end-of-year-sale

    Single Speed Recommendations

Looked at all. I have the Roadster V2. I really like it - a lot. Easy to ride, light, quick, nimble and easy to maintain. And would think I'd also like their gravel version. The Rize was my 2nd choice (has throttle option which I could care less about). The Aero is 10# more. Don't know...

*FINAL POST* for my Roadster v2, after 8000 miles

Actually the Rize can be set to class 1, 2, 3 in the controls (and if you get the throttle) and I believe they even provide different stickers when you receive it. But that being said I really doubt it weights 34#'s and agree with Solliex I just REALLY like the V2. So no regrets at all. In...

*FINAL POST* for my Roadster v2, after 8000 miles

Taylor57, have you looked at the Rize Fixie? Hydraulic disc brakes, kickstand, lights, 3 amp charger, single speed, class 1, but has a throttle option ($20). Still low weight at 34# supposedly. A little more expensive at $1499 + $20 for the throttle.

*FINAL POST* for my Roadster v2, after 8000 miles

Oh btw. If you want to check if your front axle is spinning ok. Lift the front wheel and slightly rotate it. When it comes to a stop it should reverse spin a little before coming to a stop.

*FINAL POST* for my Roadster v2, after 8000 miles

Thx Solliex for the video. I have to say I really like this bike and frankly I'm really surprised just how easy it is to ride. I actually like the narrow handlebars - really nimble. The bike arrived with the front wheel really out of true. Box was ok, so a QC issue it seems. Ride1Up was...

*FINAL POST* for my Roadster v2, after 8000 miles

I wondered the same thing as I appreciated the great reviews by PSm and Solliex (thanks you two!!). I did just get a 52cm Roadster on their sale and so far really like it though it's pretty early. I might give my impressions later, but it is a really easy bike to ride. I did think about the...
