with the air down to <10psi they will do ok on the damp more packed sand. Even 4" fatbike tires don't go through the soft thick sand very well. Takes a LOT of power that they just don't have. Stay on the damp stuff and cruise for miles. :)

So you haven't changed the gearing but the bike now goes a lot faster. You can't go faster without more power. ;)
