Strange wheel building on NCM Moskov

Well, the guy I quoted in post #18 seems to agree with you.

Having problem with my NCM bike.

This is the same issue we are experiencing with a neighbors brand new e-trike. Bafang 500w hub motor.

I don't believe it does. Next time I see it, I'll take a closer look.

    Intermittent loss of speedo/ odo

Elderly neighbor recently purchased an online etrike. I installed the front wheel, plugged in the motor. Right from the first ride, occasionally the speedo/ odo would read 0 while riding. After 5 min or so, system would power down. Other times, everything working properly. At least once, the...

Strange wheel building on NCM Moskov

Here's something I found searching the net on this topic....... Probably the best source for answering this is Jobst Brandt's The Bicycle Wheel, the definitive text on the wire-spoked wheel and an essential for anyone interested in the art of wheelbuilding. Excerpted from page 68 of the 3rd...

Strange wheel building on NCM Moskov

My 27.5 wheels are also laced like the OP, so each spoke has a slight bend where they cross. Doesn't seem right. I too am interested in what Leons has to say.

I may have missed the answer here, but, how long would be considered excessive to leave a pack at 100% charge?

Good to hear! I'm used to dealing with much higher amperage RV chargers.

    Batter charger

Mine doesn't feel like it get's warm enough to set anything on fire, but without any vent holes in the plastic cover, I can't see it lasting very long with all that heat contained inside!

    Batter charger

No kidding. I guess if you buy the Moscow+, you get a better charger.

    Batter charger

No fan in the charger that came with my Moscow. In fact, there isn't even any slots in the case to allow the heat out! Can't see it lasting long. Excess Heat is usually what kills electronics.

Cut off voltage of the standard Moscow?

The only time I've left mine on the charger till the light went green, I believe I only had 53.9V. I did wait a couple of hours after taking it off charger before checking, because I don't know if these batteries have a 'surface' charge, like flooded lead acid do.

    I hear ya!

    Tires don't hold pressure long!

This may be the issue. The tires were about 20psi when I got it. I've topped the tires up a couple of times now, and the loss of pressure is slowing a lot!

    Tires don't hold pressure long!

27.5" Smart Sam tires. Running 50psi, and bleeds down to 41.5 and 42psi in a week.

    Tires don't hold pressure long!

Is it normal for these Schwalbe tires to lose close to 10psi, in a week? New bike with only 110 km. Both tires dropping equally, so kinda rules out bad tube or tire.

    Turning the Battery off

I recently purchased a standard Moscow. When I turn the battery on, the battery lights come on for about 10sec, then go out. Seems like these battery packs have a mind of their own.
