Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

Changed my mind! They closed the gap. Now I'd rather have a Trek Domane+ SLR 9 Project One Shimano except for dealer issues. At least, the Creo needs constant updates. My Specialized dealer does these for me on the spot, while I wait, for free, in 5 minutes. My Trek dealer (who also does...

Creo vs Domane+ SLR w TQ motor - anyone ride both?

I would take the Creo over any e road bike because it is the only one (I believe) that let's you control the level of assist from the drops (or wherever you want). Having to cycle through a button on the top tube will get old very quickly. If you found me a bike lighter than an S-Works Creo...

Do any new garmins show extender battery level?

Thanks that’s what I do too. Although actually that field shows main battery only…it is just that the RE level is close when you drain together. I have run garmin side by side with wahoo to confirm this. Not a big deal but sometimes the RE and main differ by as much as 6% or so even when...

Do any new garmins show extender battery level?

Wondering if the 540 or 840 have better e-bike integration.

in case anyone was waiting for e-bike sensor integration on k2 hammerhead …

On a route, will Hammerhead show % distance remaining and % ascent remaining? Those are lovely for the e-bike when managing battery life/assist. Only options here, that I know if, is % distance on Garmin as a special Connect IQ field but that is it.

in case anyone was waiting for e-bike sensor integration on k2 hammerhead …

Ok, I believe we all conclude here that the K2 does not see the range extender battery at all. Like the Garmin, it only sees the main bike battery. Wahoo Roam and Bolt are only bike computers I know of that show range extender either separately (like Wahoo) or combined at say 150% (not aware...

Would like Creo fields on my Garmin

Crap, now a trade off. I have to give up my Percent Ride Remaining field.

Would like Creo fields on my Garmin

This is really over he top awesome. If you are riding a course, does it provide specifically helpful field(s)? I just look at percent course remaining and percent battery life remaining and try to keep a positive difference there. I’d probably rather have percent climbing remaining since...

Would like Creo fields on my Garmin

Well if i can get my power on Creo, percent battery for both batteries, and assist level on Wahoo out of the box, count me in.

Would like Creo fields on my Garmin

Oh boy. Now I’m learning that Wahoo is better than Garmin for the Creo because it will natively show me the assist level and both battery levels. In 5 seconds of research looks like the Roam V2 is the nicest one.

Would like Creo fields on my Garmin

I could not figure out a way to see battery life natively on garmin without the special connectIQ data field add on. Interesting that the Wahoo does that, plus the RE battery. Does Wahoo show assist level too?

When you were showing ebike battery garmin field on your 1030+, were you using that ebike data field from connectIQ?

    Creo SL Shutting Off

Yes I wondered about that. I rotated it so the cable didn’t have a lot of play, thinking that would be a good thing. It seemed jammed in there pretty good and didn’t even want to rotate.

Would like Creo fields on my Garmin

Here are some cool fields I want on my Garmin Edge 830. Partial success: 1. Assist level. ebike data field from Connect IQ gives me this. 2. Percent bike battery life remaining. Again, ebike data field solves this. 3. Percent bike battery life remaining including extender (external) battery...

    Creo SL Shutting Off

Is it really hard to turn? It rotates full 90 not inserted but will take some effort when plugged in

    Creo SL Shutting Off

It’s crazy! I did a gravel race Saturday and took the extender not locked in. When it disconnects, the bike shuts off. Not helpful in a race! Mine is weird or I am nervous to break it. It seems like mine inserts about 1 o’clock and locks at 2 o’clock. It is harder to remove at 2. My...

    Creo SL Shutting Off

Wow this is perfect. Strange thing is it *feels* like on my bike the plug is just as easy to remove at unlocked 2 position vs locked 5 position.

    Creo SL Shutting Off

Excellent. That last step of rotating the latch to secure the plug has me stuck for some reason. Do to recall which direction you turn the latch to lock it?
