    2013 Turbo Experiences

I've got a Thudbuster seat post, and I recently put the knobby X tires on my Turbo S. It does not matter much when you hit the big stuff. But it really does even out a lot of the small stuff - just riding my bike on worn asphalt could be painful when it was new. It's fine now as long as I don't...

    Chainkeeper for Turbo

I was annoyed by losing my chain too (usually while pedaling over a bump) so I went to my local store to look. Sure enough, as described above the 13s have nothing, the 14s (including mine) have holes, and the 15s have the little plastic guard. So I asked about it, and they ordered me one ($10)...

    MIleage mode and miles

I just took a trip around the lake with my wife. 31 miles only used 42% of my battery. I'm really pleased - like Brambor I should easily be able to take similar trips of over 60 miles. This is considerably more range than I assumed I'd get when I bought the bike. That was at ECO30 the whole...

    Turbo technology in 2014

Less than 100 miles on my bike...and my joystick is broken too. Dang. At least mostly. I can still make mode and view changes if I am persistent, but that's sure a pain. (Turning the light on and off works fine). It feels kind of floppy. I'll ask for a new one. I thought I saw somebody say...

    The Stealth ;-)

I've had two people ask me if my bike was electric, but both were after I passed them rapidly going up a hill. I agree the bike is stealthy, and it's one of the things I like about it.

    Thudbuster ST on Turbo

You guys convinced me; my Thudbuster should arrive this week...

    Turbo Brake Squeal

Just FWIW, my new 2014 had lots of rear brake squeal. I've had bikes this noisy before, but not new ones! I think it is slowly going away...but I still don't even have 100 miles on the thing, so I'm not sure. It's not a huge deal to me though. I still love the bike.

    2013 vs 2014 computer differences?

I just discovered that part of the problem is...my polarized sunglasses! The screen is a lot easier to read without them. (And it doesn't matter if the screen is vertical or horizontal; a lot of screens are "oriented" and have a polarization problem one way but not the other). However, I had...

    2013 vs 2014 computer differences?

Awesome, thanks. I was planning to stop by the local shop and ask a couple of things anyway, so I'll see if they have the tool.

    2013 vs 2014 computer differences?

OK, so they moved it from the center to the right, and from portrait to landscape. Any other changes? I test drove a 2013 (actually the shop had it labeled as a 2014, but the screen was in the center so I assume it was a 2013) and loved the LCD screen. I bought a 2014 (the only one they had in...

    MIleage mode and miles

I just got my black 2014 Turbo S yesterday, but here's what I've seen so far: I live at the top of a 3-mile, 1,000' hill. Coming up that fairly fast (not too fast, no knee cartilage left, hence the e-bike) in turbo mode takes up just about 25% of the battery. I just took a 19-mile ride that...
