Did you have to go with a longer than stock chain? Do you have the details on your cassette?

If your seat post is slipping you can clean the seat post of any grease and tighten the seat post clamp bolt that's on the opposite side of the clamping lever. You want that bolt tight enough that it's so hard to close the clamp that you can barely do it by hand.

My analog gravel bike has 11x42 with 2x gearing up front and it's barely adequate so a 1x chainring & 11x42 rear isn't even close for a road bike.

You can see from the pic the gearing range would be very limited for that 1x "gravel bike" when on pavement. I want to be able to grind up steep hills without assist when the battery goes but also need high speed gearing for downhill pavement so a 2x would be needed.

That sounds like the speed sensor then. I'm not sure where it is, it might even be in the hub motor itself.

Erfenbach, that sounds like a cadence sensor problem. It's down near the crank. Inspect it, verify it's not loose and check its connector.

I have a 500 and 350. The 500's extra battery capacity, higher top speed and fantastic hydraulic brakes make me wish we would have gone with two Pace 500's.

That is strange and I have never seen it done that way. I'd send Aventon an email and see if it is intentional.
