I removed the easy stuff and then found out that I don't have a pedal driver. So, I have one on order from Amazon. I've also asked Ariel for instructions but I suspect they don't have anything written.

Answering my own question: If the luggage scale that I just used is to be believed, 62 lbs is with the battery.

The Ariel Rider website says that the bike weighs 62lbs. Does anyone know if that is with or without the battery?

I have had the same experience. It is a little worrying. I have a new motor on order so we'll see if that fixes things.

Since the hose is obviously too short, is it possible that an extension to the brake hose on one end or the other to lengthen it or is the only alternative replacing the whole hose?

Brought the bike to my LBS. They say that the hose to the right brake was too short and, possibly, turning damaged the "olive and barb". So, I'm hoping Ariel will send me replacement parts for them to install.

Well, color me disappointed. Just got my M-class yesterday and found that the rear brake isn't working. There is a thin trickle of oil coming from the brake levers on the handlebar down the hydraulic line. I hope Ariel can get this fixed quickly.
