    What are your "Go-To" tires?

The Jumper comes standard with Schwalbe "Rapid Rob" tires. These look great for off roading but probably not ideal for the street. Since I'll be using the bike to commute, my bigger concern is range (or lack of it) with knobby tires...

    E-Bike Shoppers Fatigue

Hi Scott! I know exactly what you mean. I'm looking at buying a couple of bikes for my wife and honestly, I have an easier time shopping for a new car than an e-bike. We have very few e-bike retailers in my city, so I've been doing all my research and shopping online. This forum has proved...

    What are your "Go-To" tires?

I'm considering a bike (the Neo Jumper) that comes standard with knobby tires - which are probably great for off-roading but since 70% of my riding will be on the street, I'm exploring options that are reasonably good for both kinds of rides. Also, at all possible I'd like to minimize the risk...

2014 Easy Motion Neo Jumper 650B

I've read a lot of Kepler's posts on ES. He is a great guy. What a 180 turn he did going from a Bomber to a Jumper. Since I almost bought a Bomber myself, I suppose I did the same thing. The Bomber is the Harley-Davidson cruiser of e-bikes. I couldn't see myself getting a much exercise on a...

2014 Easy Motion Neo Jumper 650B

Yeah, I have a $500 coupon for the Allroad too. I think there are big profit margins over at Optibike but their affluent demographic doesn't seem to mind. Their customer service does seem good, but it should be considering the price they charge for their bikes. Even at $2295, the Allroad is...

2014 Easy Motion Neo Jumper 650B

A lot of what we buy today is either made or assembled in China...that's probably the biggest reason you were able to get such a great bike delivered to your door for under $3,000. Optibike is offering their "affordable" $2795 Pioneer Allroad model which is also made in China.

2014 Easy Motion Neo Jumper 650B

Thanks for the info, Ravi. The guys at Evobikes have some 2013's in stock for a good deal. I spoke with another dealer that said that Easy Motion will also be making the 12Ah battery available for models prior to 2014, but I haven't confirmed that yet. I also read that the 350w motor is...

2014 Easy Motion Neo Jumper 650B

Hi Ravi, Did you get your bike yet? I found a couple of dealers that are giving good discounts on 2013 models, and I'll be attending a bike show in Seattle at the end of the month to try out the Neo Jumper. One dealer told me that the 12Ah battery will be available (and will fit) on the 2013...

    Polaris Meridian vs Optibike Allroad

I read in another post that you ride a Neo Jumper. Looks like a great bike, is quiet, and only 48Lbs! Please post your experience with it. Where did you buy yours?

My experience with Stealth Electric Bikes and the Stealth Bomber

PRW's experience was one of reasons I decided that buying a demo bike isn't always a great deal - especially since batteries have a finite lifetime regardless of how long they sit on the shelf; and at $2600 each (for a replacement Bomber battery pack), batteries are expensive. I was >this...

Local Dealer vs. A Great Deal

No worries. You sound like a dealer that knows their stuff and cares about customer relationships. I always give the local shop the first shot at my business, and though it's nice if they match prices; I don't mind paying a little more for great service. Unfortunately, what happens time &...

Local Dealer vs. A Great Deal

So, in summary: You had the customer in your store, he demoed a bike, your staff couldn't close the sale, and you weren't happy that he came back to repair a bike he didn't buy from you. Is it possible that: 1.) The salesperson didn't have the communication skills i.e. listening, asking the...

    Polaris Meridian vs Optibike Allroad

Thanks for your quick reply. We live in Edmonton, Canada; and though we do have a couple of cycle shops - dealer experience with e-bikes in our city is sorely lacking. In fact, we visited a dealer last week and they wouldn't let us test out one of their e-bikes due to a "liability concern"...

    Polaris Meridian vs Optibike Allroad

Hi Court, I've enjoyed all of your reviews, thank you so much for doing this for us. My wife & I are looking at good entry-level e-bikes that have decent acceleration & range, and are considering both the Meridian & Pioneer Allroad - both of which you've reviewed. Assuming the bikes are the...
