What year, What motor? Is the skid plate mounted correctly? Do you remove it and remount it?

MR. BOB.....pull the motor mount bolts out one at a time, pack grease around the bolts and install.....if you want with threadlocker. Re-torque.

I watched the video. You will notice the rider never sits on the saddle. I have ridden hardtail with yamaha motor on aluminum frame, and it beat my rear end. 43lbs of bike, motor and battery on alloy frame with 33mm tires in the dirt?! No thanks.

I do understand YOU. When you turn on the bike the assist should be off. You do not turn on the LCD display, it comes on when you power on the bike. I am asking you a question, and hoping for an answer. Do you power on the bike while riding the bike?

As far as I can tell, when you power on the bike there will not be any assist. .. it is off. You then choose the level you want. Odometer should work in the no assist level. Maybe check your magnet on the rear wheel..... magnet should line up with the line on the sensor on the chainstay....look...

You might want to tell what year, make, and model the bike is.

2017 Haibike w/ Yamaha PW and Shimano E6000 170mm crank arms.

Not sure what you are selling, if any. I am with JayVee here..... PW motor cuts out over 90rpm... allowing you to save battery. You don't really need assist if you are cranking over 90... do you? Drop down to 80 and you are right on the powerband. I think Yamaha got it right the first time...

I must have measured wrong.... again. Q-factor with the E6000 crank arms on my PW motor is more like 180mm.
