    Exploding Rear Tires?

I hear some sound, and a slight resonating of the frame sometimes when walking the bike. Some are telling me its the motor, but I think its not rotating cleanly on the hub. The resonating comes and goes when spinning the rear wheel on a stand, but seems to always happen when walking the bike and...

    Shipping a bike? Great resource!

The battery for the ST2 is 814Whr, and it appears the allowable limit for airline travel is 100Wh or 160Wh. Source: (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) It will probably need to be shipped separately and declared as hazardous goods.

    eBike Lock recommendations?

I bought the Kryptonite New York Noose. Its a 6.5lb chain and lock, but the last ring is large enough to loop the chain through. This means that you don't need as much chain length, with all of the added weight that comes with it. Here is an example of how you can get by with a shorter chain...

    Shipping a bike? Great resource!

@Ravi Kempaiah Thanks! That case looks pretty good. I'm looking for a good hardcase to bring the ST2 by plane to Hawaii. Hopefully it will fit. I'm guessing the battery may need to be shipped separately because it is considered hazardous goods.

    Exploding Rear Tires?

The Marathon Deluxe (26 x 2.0) appears to be an option as well. It is ECE-R75 rated and is considered to be a balloon tire too. I'm working with Stromer for a replacement. Hopefully that works out, as I'd like to keep stock tires on the bike.

    Racktime bags

I just checked, and it will clip-in in either direction. I've learned to quickly insert and remove it in the 'reverse' direction, and I prefer mounting the bag this way when biking after dark so that the tail light is more visible. When carrying a heavy load, mounting it in reverse also helps...

    Exploding Rear Tires?

I got the replacement Big Ben tire today. It didn't have the GreenGuard puncture layer, like the Stromer version. It also has thinner sidewalls. It would be nice to know where we can get the Stromer version, preferably online. After changing the rear tire, I performed a closer inspection of the...

Flat tires - how much of a problem should I expect?

I've found a website that sells the Stromer version of the Big Ben, and many more Stromer parts: http://www.elektrofahrrad24.de/spezial-ersatzteile-stromer#.VXnnITBViko

Flat tires - how much of a problem should I expect?

Once the replacement Big Ben arrives, I'll cut open the Stromer version to see what's inside. Can the Stromer version of the tire be purchased anywhere?

Flat tires - how much of a problem should I expect?

Are you saying that Stromer's Big Bens on the ST2 are different than the standard Big Bens? The Stromer's have the HS439 model number molded into the sidewall, so other than the "+Stromer-" printing on the sidewall, I was assuming they were the same. I just ordered one to replace the stock...

    Exploding Rear Tires?

Out of the box, the tire was inflated at 20psi. I've been running it at 45psi. I'm not sure what caused the split, but when driving through the city, I've been running at power level 3 and accelerating quickly from stop lights so that I can stay in the regular traffic flow. The power...

    Exploding Rear Tires?

Today I noticed that the rear tire on my new ST2 was splitting open near the rim: The split developed after the delivery of the bike, which now has about 125 miles on it. The split varies in width and is about 4 inches long. If it develops much further, the worst area looks like it is ready...

    Racktime bags

The bag clips in, and can be quickly inserted or removed by depressing the quick release tab. When removing, it slides forward so that the mounting pegs on the bag clear the holes on the Racktime rack. However, it does get a little tricky when removing because the front of the bag will touch...

    Racktime bags

The Racktime Black Box bag arrived. It has a rigid shell, and doubles as a backpack when removed from the carrier. I would say that the bag is a bit on the small side. It's big enough to bring a change of clothes, but not big enough to also carry a pair of shoes. Edited: Incorrectly stated...

    Racktime bags

What bag did you end up buying? I would appreciate your comments on the bag. I just ordered the Black Box Rack Top Bag (https://www.bikebagshop.com/racktime-black-box-rack-top-bag-p-3617.html) for my ST2. Thanks!

Flat tires - how much of a problem should I expect?

Does anyone know what size tubes will fit the stock ST2 wheels? I don't yet have my ST2 (it is in shipment), and don't want to get stuck with a flat on my first ride like I did with my last bike.
