    Bicycle Camera Setup

For those who want to have cameras on their bike to document the unlikely event of a collision, hit-and-run, etc, there is currently a good deal on the first generation Garmin VIRB cameras. I installed a pair of them on my bike: Front handlebar Under saddle The Garmin cameras are...

LOCKS - All about Ebike locks !!

In this context, it's referring to KickStarter. I think they were referring to the KickStarter for this bike lock: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/fuzdesigns/noke-u-lock-worlds-smartest-u-lock/description

Reinforcing the rear rack for carrying weight

I've had issues carrying weight on the rear rack where it would suddenly drop after hitting a bump, causing the fender to rub against the tire. In the following picture, the rack support rod will slide down by the mounting screw near the rear axle: I'm trying to find some clever way to fill...

    ST2 Rain/Water Seal Performance?

@Notonenameleft Did you have any problems with all that weight on the rear rack? It's rated for a max of 17kg. I've had issues carrying weight on the rear rack and having the rack suddenly drop down after hitting a bump. In the following picture, the rack support rod will slide down by the...

    2016 ST Stromer

Are we to be surprised and disgusted by the use of glowing adjectives in marketing copy, especially when placed directly adjacent to a factual numerical rating?

    St2 creaks

Mine makes a few creaks when transitioning from applied power to heavy regen, or visa versa. P.s. I have the brake regen set to max.

    ST2 Rain/Water Seal Performance?

I live in the PNW too, but there hasn't been any rain here since I got my ST2 in late May, so I haven't had a chance to test it yet. I'm looking at taking a bike trip up to Victoria via the Port Angeles ferry later this month. I'll probably turn it into a two day trip so I can charge the...

Video - 310 mile ride on Stromer ST2

@Ravi Kempaiah One more quick question about recharging of the second battery: Was it charged in the follow car using an inverter, charged by generator at rest stop areas, or did you find outlets along your route and stop to recharge?

Video - 310 mile ride on Stromer ST2

Very good! I'm curious about your bike setup: - What handle-bar grips/extensions are you using? - Did you primarily bike in power level 2? If so, what were the approximate % for speed, agility & torque? - Did you use the standard city kit lighting for the night portion of the ride, or did you...

    2016 ST Stromer

It was listed in the same section as all of the other original Stromer parts, so I assumed that it was. It also says "The suspension fork kit was included in the European type-approval and can be retrofitted in all ST2 Stromer e-bikes, without a new authorization or vehicle inspection is...

    2016 ST Stromer

It will be interesting to see if it the DI2 will be powered via the Stromer main battery, or whether it need its own battery pack to be charged separately.

    2016 ST Stromer

When aggressively taking off from a stand-still in power level 3, it feels like an enormous amount of torque. It will pop a wheelie when taking off, and the rider needs to limit the amount of torque to keep both wheels on the ground. I haven't ridden other e-bikes to provide a comparison, but...

    ST2 Rain/Water Seal Performance?

I got mine at the end of May (2015) so I assume it is a 2015. It has a flimsy battery door with a bulge near the middle so the seal does not sit flush with the frame in that area. @Ravi Kempaiah Is there a way to identify whether a door has the composite reinforcement?

Got my 1st "cheater" shout today

If there was any logic behind that comment, he should have been shouting the same thing at every car too.

    ST2 Rain/Water Seal Performance?

The battery door on the ST2 seems a little flimsy, and the seal doesn't fully cover the gap between the door and frame, specifically near the middle (length-wise). I'm concerned that water on the surface of the frame could seep into the battery compartment and accumulate at the bottom where the...

    New Lumos Helmet Kickstarter

I like the idea, but I'm not a fan of having a helmet do anything other than provide head protection. After hearing about how the mount for a GoPro camera attached to Michael Schumacher's helmet contributed to his coma, I'm keeping my helmet accessory-free. Even though these lights are...

Must Buy accessories Items for ST1

This road-side replacement tube: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FB0QZPI?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00 It will let you fix a flat without having to remove the rear wheel, which can be quite difficult on the ST1. I purchased one for my ST2, and keep it with my roadside...

Using the manual regenerative braking feature

Can you explain this behavior? I may have the same thing, where if I take my hands off the handlebars, they begin to vibrate rather intensely back-and-forth. In my case, the front tire is not uniform with some bulging that can be visibly seen when rotating the wheel on a stand.
