Can you cycle through the PAS levels 1-5 on the screen? There is a red light on the PAS sensor that lights up when the system is on, is that lit? If not then it may be a loose wire. The other thing you might try is to remove the battery from the cradle, with the battery off the bike try to turn...

Has your chain fallen off? If so it may have contacted the PAS sensor under the bottom bracket. That is where I would start looking. Make sure the sensor is aligned, that the wire is intact, that the is no gunk or moisture on the sensor, and that the magnetic crank wheel is properly attached...

Bummer this happened. I ride on the beach frequently too, but almost always at low tide so I've been lucky. If this were to happen to me I would remove the battery and the fuse, light rinse any accessible electrical connections that may have gotten wet with fresh water including the battery...

walawn, This is an impressive thread. Great job. Did you happen to note which BMS this battery uses? If anything ever fails on this battery, it would be the most likely culprit.

walawn, I think your estimates of 1-2 mph on the top end are pretty accurate for your 180 lb weight. I think the biggest benefit will be the overall performance throughout the battery discharge. The stock 48v battery works well until it passes the 40% mark. If I recall, when the 48v battery is...
