What to compare Priority current to?

I continue to enjoy commuting on nice days on my Priority Current. I feel the weight when I get it in and out of my shed (no ramp), but otherwise there is no reason to know weight. I don’t get the advertised range on my hilly route, but I can make it the nearly 24 miles total round trip if I...

Priority Current - Delivery & Assembly - Initial Feedback

Thanks @TimGNO . Good to see you enjoying riding! I found on my first long trip with my Priority Current the drop in power happened sooner than it now does. In fact the display went nuts, first level 5 power felt like a drop to 2 or 3 with four bars left, then the display went to one flashing...

    Priority Current Online Reviews: Errata

Thanks for the corrections. I also get annoyed by reviews that have mistakes! But FYI, my (5-speed) Priority Current did come stock with a CDX Carbon Drive Belt, so perhaps it varies by manufacturing lot, or has been a silent upgrade (my purchase is recent) compared to past versions.

Priority Current Shimano 5 speed - First impressions

@TimGNO Maybe this got a silent upgrade somewhere along the line in their manufacturing, but mine came with the ribbed CDX belt (my Current is with the 5e Shimano). Weight limit varies by the kind of riding conditions and type of bike, in Appendix B of the rather generic manual. For instance...

    Who's got a Current?

@Oendaril , I went with the Priority Current. I could not justify the cost difference of the Como SL, especially with the Costco discount on Priority bikes. The power assist feels completely natural at power levels 1 & 2, and probably 3. When I increase to 4 or 5 I feel a quick surge boost...

Swapping out a Shimano Nexus 3-Speed Hub for an 8-Speed Hub

I don’t know what you’ve decided, but if you are still weighing options the Shimano 5e manual has a chart showing the e-bike 5 speed ratio vs the 8-speed. The 8-speed adds lower gears for hills, with it’s 1:1 ratio at 4th gear. The 5-speed IHG starts 1:1 in first gear and ends up with a 5th...

    Who's got a Current?

Enjoying my Priority Current this past month of ownership. I’ve commuted to work on a few nice days so far, and pleasure rides or errands. I have a question about battery chargers. My commute is about 24 miles round trip in a hilly region. The max incline isn’t too bad (I measured 8% on one...

    Who's got a Current?

Thanks mojoe, I did test ride (twice) the Specialized Como SL (4.0). Same 5-speed. I liked it very much. I have no idea if it would have had the range I needed for my (eventual) commute, but the LBS staff assured me it would handle the hilly route and distance (they thought I could make close...

    Who's got a Current?

I just got my Priority Current! Shimano 5-speed, with Costco discount. I live in a hilly area, so I’m trying it out on some inclines, and pleased with how it powers up them. It is bigger and heavier than my old (pedal only) 3-speed I’ve had for years, so I’m doing short and simple trips to...

Sub $3000 Leisure/Commuter Bike For Hilly Area [Final Choice: Priority Current]

Thanks Achterbahn and all, This has been an immensely helpful thread as I searched for an e-bike. I’ve just put together my Priority Current, and I’ve gone about 10 miles in short trips to test features and adjust brakes and shifter. I think this is a keeper! I know I can return in 30 days...
