Regarding battery SoC has anyone else noticed phantom drain? I'm losing about 6% overnight. Only had it a week or so and have the limit set to 80%. The next day it shows 74-75% on startup. Tried charging to 100% once. Probably NBD but curious..

Saddle pressure, numbness, and maintaining sexual health at 59

Suspension seatpost or dropper post? I find the worst pressure happens when mounting and dismounting the bike.

25 km/h wouldn't work for me at all. Need a little extra boost to deal with drivers.

Couple comfort/compliance questions: Is the Reverb dropper as comfortable as a split leaf carbon post? Post #89 puts that to rest. I'm running the roval terra on another bike. Surprised that the comfort mode on the Reverb isn't better. Would the carbon wheels increase compliance over the...

Those fenders look fantastic. It doesn't rain much here, so I'm quite happy with Ass Savers which can be installed in about 5 seconds. Wasn't able to test ride many of the other SL e-bikes (Trek, Scott, Canyon, etc.), but I did test the Skitch a couple times. By every metric I found the Creo 2...

    Negotiations on price

I was offered discounts on two major brand premium bikes between December and now. Don’t see how Gazelle is any different.

I will post pics soon, but I love the gold color in person. There was talk about it being the lesser colorway or resale could be lower, but I don't see it. The color is great! TBH, the difference between my expert Diverge and comp Creo is less than I expected. Braking and shifting feels the...

Ergonomic adjustment / suspension stem for Gazelle bike?

Innerbarrends are really key. Funnily enough, my old mountain bike had stock innerbarends that I never used until Stefan mentioned them in this thread. Now I switch between them and haven't had any comfort problems on that bike. Should also add that a bike fit can be really key. Being tall with...

Total e-bike ban after a fatality in Key Biscayne, FLA

I agree with the benefits, and the fact that people see e-motos as viable non-car transportation. I see half a dozen to a dozen every time I ride my bike. However, they shouldn't be in bike lanes, sidewalks, or trails mixing with bicycles and pedestrians. It's not legal for good reason. Those...

Specialized Turbo Vado/Como/Tero/Tero X User Club

IIRC they updated the speed limiting for Turbo Teros after a law change in the US. Definitely not something that Bosch would ever do. You buy a new bike!

    Gazelle Avignon/Ultimate - Other options

I thought throttle was must-have, but now have no desire to use one on my bikes. The Bosch motor feels so good to pedal. For exercise I've probably enjoyed my Gazelle Ultimate more than my analog carbon bike. It's practically identical to pedaling a standard bike, but the weight and belt makes...

Right?? The margins on bicycles is ridiculous.

    Dutch Police not messing about.

I'm not going to read that giant block of text. I had a Globe Haul which hit 28 mph with ease. Revv1, Super 73, etc. etc. can be unlocked by selecting "off road mode."

Incidence, type and age demographics of ebike related injury

Don't have access to the full text. Presumably this study made an effort to only consider Class 1/2/3 e-bikes and not higher power vehicles? Most of the moped-style "e-bikes" have an "off-road" mode that the user can select for 30, 40+ mph. Wonder also if this was considered since that is not...

New Cargo Bike for the European Market (Specialized Porto)

My thoughts on the ride quality without any suspension...! R&M Packster is the same weight, but with a chain and a low-quality suspension fork. So in the ballpark. That 2.2 motor though is almost dead silent, and the Bosch... isn't close.

New Cargo Bike for the European Market (Specialized Porto)

Specialized UK Belt drive, 2.2 motor, 20x2.8 pathfinder tires, 87 lbs. Would have jumped at the chance to buy a Specialized cargo bike with the 2.2 motor. Looks like an Enviolo Automatiq retrofit is possible too. I've got to wonder about the ride quality though.

Yikes, that's frustrating. My local Specialized had very little interest in discussing sizing, geometry, etc, or working with me on fit. Kinda annoying when spending so much on bicycles!
