Cut 25mm from each end of mine, they are now 66cm with ergon 3 grips fitted. Find it far more comfortable and feels a more sporty ride. Before I cut them off, with a hacksaw, a friend who had a short ride of my bike, said it seemed like riding a mountain bike because of the really wide bars.

I cut around 25mm from each end of mine, they defiantly felt ungainly, makes it feel so much more sporty! Very easy to do with a hacksaw too.

Me too, like you say, definitely a design fault. Hate marking the paintwork, but had to get it out!!

There should be a little button to press, that holds the derailleur in position after you push it forward, so no need to hold it with your hand. I had the same thing happen to me, it's very tight between the chainring and the motor housing as you say, but using the button to hold the derailleur...

Thanks for that, have downloaded the Ride app, so will see, on next ride, if that helps! Was up in your neck of the woods last month, cycled form Newcastle to Edinburgh. Didn't use the Vado SL, did it on an leg powered hybrid, 214 miles!

Since the update, mine shows my recorded rides with a small map against each, but when I click on a ride the map will not show, it just says "Trying to get location". Anyone else have this problem? When uploaded to Stava or Komoot, the maps are there!

Here in the UK I ordered mine online, from the Specialized site on a Sunday evening, the following Thursday morning it was ready to be picked up from a "nearly" local bike shop, 18 miles away. I could have ordered the same bike, Turbo Vado 4.0 SL, same colour and size, from online sites over...

Just picked up a Vado 4 SL, how does the light come off of the stem? Does it just slide out? Many thanks.
