As soon as you turn on your lights, lets say 30 watts, running off a dynamo, it will create an immediate drag of about double that on your bike. With pedal assist only, you will be forced to work a little harder to compensate (not the full 60 watts, but some, based on your assist level). It may...

Saving like 500g per tire? René Herse versus Kenda.

About a year ago, I finished my lightweight MTB build. I used Schwalbe racing ralph tires, which fit my lightweight needs. They gave me nothing but trouble. Many punctures. (of course this is probably a different terrain that you might be riding). In any case, I have decided that for tires...

What is the demand for affordable, safe, and tested used EV batteries?

I'm betting there would be more demand in the RV world, or off grid living, simply because of higher capacities required.

This is not entirely true. It still takes power to turn the dynamo. All in all, taking losses into account, it is likely much more efficient to run the lights directly off the battery than it is to first turn it into kinetic energy only to turn it back into electric later.

Need battery recomendation for 52V TSDZ2

The Bike is for my wife to ride with me on my analog bike. The 21700 cells are just to optimize for capacity since there is so little space available.

Need battery recomendation for 52V TSDZ2

Yes, the standard case is just not going to work anwhere on the frame. I just laid out 42 nickels (same size as 21700), and it looks like I can get that inbetween the two down tubes. (Not quite in the triangle though). With 5000mAh cells, that should give me 15Ah, which ought to work. Barely...

Need battery recomendation for 52V TSDZ2

Thanks. I've seen her name pop up here and there. I wonder how many 21700 cells I could squeeze between the upper and the lower down tubes. It would be a funky form factor for sure.

Need battery recomendation for 52V TSDZ2

I am adding a TSDZ2 motor to my wife's Cannondale treadwell bike. This bike will be used on moderately hilly terrain (100ft/mile elevation gain) for around 50 miles/ride, at 17-18mph average speed. I have looked around for batteries mostly on aliexpress, but there are some batteries advertised...
