Giant themselves give the list of compatible bikes with the 800Wh battery. Why not offer those models with the choice for the customer?

I need long range. 500Wh is not enough for my need. 625Wh I'm not sure.

If I could buy the Explore E+ 1 with the 800Mh battery instead of the 625 one, I'd buy it immediately.

It puzzles me that Giant do not offer that new battery on their compatible e-bikes from factory... That would make selling those products easier.

It depends on the type of bike. With speed bikes it's 45 km/h. Also, many people buy an e-bike with the 25 km/h limit, update the motor illegally and ride at 45 km/h.

I hope derailleurs will be a thing of the past as well as tyre punctures. I think e-bikes are still far too much like traditional bikes. Also I wish speed were limited to 25 km/h because the situation on bike tracks and in the streets have become far too dangerous.

I am not sure I understand that statement. Why does the Smart System restrict to a single battery?

Update 2: I've just tested a Kalkhoff bike with a Bosch Performance Line 65Nm, and the noise produced by that motor is similar to the Giant bike I recently tested. I can hear both motors, but the noise is quite acceptable, far less than the Bosch CX Gen4 which for me was really annoying...
