    Noise on Explore 2023

I tried the brakes but the noise remains. It's a high-pitched noise consisting of 2 very close noises. The slower the speed, the better I can hear that the noise contains 2 "sub-noises". What suprises me is that there no noise when I push the bike and walk beside it...

    Quietest motor?

My experience is this: I wanted to buy a Riese & Müller ebike with a Bosch 85Nm motor, I tested it but the motor was too loud (and high pitched) for my taste. I tested a Giant Explore 2023 with an 85Nm motor and it was much quieter, in fact more than the Bosch 65Nm motor.

    Noise on Explore 2023

Hi, My Explore E+ is new but I hear a regular noise on each turn of the wheel, on the rear wheel I think, it's not loud at all but I can hear it in the countryside when it's quiet and the bike is in slow speed. If I stop pedalling the noise is still there. If I'm not in the bike and push it...

What bags for a 2023 Explore?

I like it very much, and it's working flawlessly. It has a very reactive 85 nm motor and a 800 Wh battery. The battery was the key point for me because I need to be able to ride at least 60 miles on all kinds of roads. I also find the ergonomic well thought out and the seat comfortable. For...

What bags for a 2023 Explore?

Oh OK! Does it really stay put and does not slide downwards?

What bags for a 2023 Explore?

Hi, I've just bought that ebike and have 2 back panniers from my former bike I can install on the rear rack. The problem is I cannot install front panniers (no attachment) or a handlebar bag because of the position of the front light. What other bags could be installed on that ebike? The...

800Wh battery available in Canada now...

Giant themselves give the list of compatible bikes with the 800Wh battery. Why not offer those models with the choice for the customer?

800Wh battery available in Canada now...

I need long range. 500Wh is not enough for my need. 625Wh I'm not sure.

800Wh battery available in Canada now...

If I could buy the Explore E+ 1 with the 800Mh battery instead of the 625 one, I'd buy it immediately.

800Wh battery available in Canada now...

It puzzles me that Giant do not offer that new battery on their compatible e-bikes from factory... That would make selling those products easier.

Future Innovation, Where Are We Going

It depends on the type of bike. With speed bikes it's 45 km/h. Also, many people buy an e-bike with the 25 km/h limit, update the motor illegally and ride at 45 km/h.

Future Innovation, Where Are We Going

I hope derailleurs will be a thing of the past as well as tyre punctures. I think e-bikes are still far too much like traditional bikes. Also I wish speed were limited to 25 km/h because the situation on bike tracks and in the streets have become far too dangerous.

Latest News from Riese & Müller

I am not sure I understand that statement. Why does the Smart System restrict to a single battery?

An E-bike With A Quiet Motor

Update 2: I've just tested a Kalkhoff bike with a Bosch Performance Line 65Nm, and the noise produced by that motor is similar to the Giant bike I recently tested. I can hear both motors, but the noise is quite acceptable, far less than the Bosch CX Gen4 which for me was really annoying...

An E-bike With A Quiet Motor

If I have the opportunity, I'll test that bike, but I'm never convinced by Youtube bloggers' reviews because those "reviews" are just ads in disguise.

An E-bike With A Quiet Motor

Update: I've just tested a Giant Explore E+ with a Yamaha/Giant motor and I found it much quieter than the Bosch CX Gen4. The noise level from the Giant motor is acceptable, I can hear it of course, but that level of noise is not annoying. So now I have to check 2 things before making a...
