    2021 Giant Roam E+

OK I can see Giant listing a retail price of $2900 for the Explore E+ Syncdrive Sport. (Actually no bargain!) I didn't noticed the thread got sidetracked because I thought we were still discussing the Explore E+ Pro model coming to the US. Right now Giant's most affordable SyncDrive PRO...

    2021 Giant Roam E+

If that includes the PRO SyncDrive motor then US $2,900 is a awesome price. I don't think Giant will list it at that price.

800 mile update on schwalbe marathon e plus for giant explore 3

My experience is changing tires on my Explore E+ 4 is a simple straight up process. It's a 10 minute routine job, no problems. Don't understand what people are having issues with.

    Giant Explore vs Liv Amiti

I wonder if Giant's warranty is international. The Explore Pro is not sold in the US but there are a number of Giant Dealers just across the boarder in Canada. If I purchased in Canada can I get service from a US dealer? Is it covered?

    Giant's RideControl app

It appears that Giant outsources it's software development. I wouldn't recommend that but it's very common and you need to contract with dependable developers that knows their stuff. There are a lot of software pretenders out there that are experts in marketing, hype and office politics but not...

Relax its just the inevitable buyer's remorse phase just before the wow, I'm having fun phase. You got a great bike, enjoy.

    Giant's RideControl app

Yep, it's mostly useless but there's a diversity of apps that are available to supplement RideControl. After clipping on a BadAssBike 4 on my Explore E+ the Ride Control unit couldn't provide Speed or Distance data so I loaded a GPS app and mounted on handlebar. Notice the top speed my...

Who puts a tiny 375 watthour battery on an ebike ?

Wow, that's awesome that Thomas Jaszewski has extracted 6+ riding years from his eBike so far. I hope I'll be able to achieve that level of usefulness in my Explore E+. Nice job, love it death.

Who puts a tiny 375 watthour battery on an ebike ?

Signs of reversal with Giant's direction in the downsizing batteries. I notice that 2021 FastRoad EX is outfitted with a larger 500wh battery with a 250wh extender battery. (The 2020 model was 375wh.) In addition the 2021 Stance is available with a whopping 624wh battery. I think Giant heard all...

Who puts a tiny 375 watthour battery on an ebike ?

I think some influence to battery size is tied to shipping and storage of Li-ion batteries. Especially in a world wide market and you need to ship air freight. Technology breakthrough beyond this generation of batteries will improve range but how much is enough? For me the eBike...

    GIANT RideControl App 2.0

If I must have detailed data like speed and distance I just mount this free GPS speedometer app to my handlebar. There's dozens of them available and they're far more accurate than what the RideControl app provides. Between this app and the LED lights I have plenty info. I'm just pedaling a...

Trump stops sale of BadAssBox 4 for Giant ebikes

Perhaps, but getting them to warranty 100% legit work appears to be a problem with many LBS. I'm more concerned with legal issues and insurance coverage. That's were the real risk lies, not in maintenance.

    GIANT RideControl App 2.0

When ever, it would be welcome to have a somewhat functioning app but it's usefulness is grossly over-rated. I find the LED lights of the Ride Control One provides the essential info I'm interested in. To each their own.

Trump stops sale of BadAssBox 4 for Giant ebikes

I think you will like BAB 4 and wonder why consider anything else. It’s honestly a 20 second switch from stock to derestricted and if anyone wanted to bet you money, it would be under 10 seconds. You need to change battery once a year but small price to pay for a Electronic device without so...

Trump stops sale of BadAssBox 4 for Giant ebikes

I was satisfied it works as advertised but if had to return I believe it would have been no problem. Company was very helpful to me. No complaints. You can tell you’re dealing with one of the good guys. My opinion, your mileage may differ.

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

Learning a bit more about eBike Laws for the State of Maine, where I live, which make it clear that once a person tampers with or modifies a conveyance that is classified as an e-bike such that it can exceed the speeds for which it was designed and sold, the conveyance no longer remains an...

    Giant SyncDrive Pro 2020 "tuning"

My own personal experience is I've seen many signs indicating that electric bikes permitted. I have never seen a sign indicating "Class 1 Only". The California Law stipulates Class 3 must have a speedometer. THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 312.5...
