The integrated light was on previous models, the fitted one on my Vado is on the mudguard itself.

Just to close off this thread, Specialized offered to give me a new bike - March or later next year, and suggested that perhaps the frame could be welded in the meantime. The LBS were not really happy with that plan, especially as welding aluminium is a bit of an art. They offered me a 2021...

Just collected the bike and, with my agreement, because the spec of the 2019 Vado 4 is higher than the 2021 and I had lots of things on it I did myself, they have taken everything from my old bike and put it on the new one. I now have a worksheet which says "new frame, motor and wiring harness"...

I've been looking at this thread again, and others, and it may be a problem from 2019. Although I bought my Vado 4 in 2020, it was a 2019 model (ie) 11 speed. Still waiting for Specialized to pronounce on my warranty claim, which was processed at the week-end by the LBS. I am a little tense...

How are you getting on with your bike replacement? I am in a similar situation with a Vado 4 and it would be good to know how you are getting on.

It will be quite intesting to see how Specialized play this - a new frame, if it is available, would suit me. I notice that the 2021 Vado 4 seems a little bit lacking in terms of components, but the 2022 model looks better. Fingers crossed anyway :)

Just by coincidence, I had to use the spray again last week - a year after the first time - worked well again.

@Kam1936 Many thanks for that information. I have a Vado 4 2019 model, and this is just what I wanted before taking it in :). I am still puzzled why we cannot see the up-to-date rev levels on a Specialized website, but hey, ho.

Have you just had your firmware upgraded? I am about to take my bike in for an annual checkup.

I did exactly the same thing with Marathons - this does not make you a bad person :). I now check every couple of weeks.

I don't know if it helps with a translation of Christine's post? "From the first 100km I already had engine problems with my Specialized Vado. Bicycle has been back to the seller a few times and placed on the computer. Then got a new motor but I have the same problems again. I am now waiting...

@como813 Thanks for that. I am at: Battery 9.3.4 (I think this is a UK setting) Motor 7.1.1 Display 12.4.0 So I have a display update to do - I will wait for the annual checkup and have it done then (Feb)
