This is pretty much all you need. Only thing you'll need in addition would be a place for the old fluid to leak into. I just use a small water bottle that has a hole in the cap in which I can fit the hose.

There is definitely a little break in period. It'll smooth out and slide in easier. It won't wear down dramatically.

I remember when I tried to put my original cross-current onto one of those bike racks the front of the bus. The wheelbase was too long for it. Not sure how this will affect the odk I can tell you that the cross current doesn't fit
