Am I able to upgrade the controller for my kit?

I looked at the unit pack power batteries on Amazon and the highest rating I could find was a 52v 20ah battery with a max constant discharge current of 40 amps. Would this battery push my top speed much higher than it currently is being the battery is only 4 more volts? I assume it would...

Am I able to upgrade the controller for my kit?

What would be a good battery option to get close to 2000w to the motor? Would the KT controller be able to handle this if I upgraded the battery?

Am I able to upgrade the controller for my kit?

I don't have a link to the battery, only a guess. The only markings on the battery are on the handle and they read SSE-014. From what I could find, the silverfish battery looks identical to mine and comes up in the search when I do a search for sse-014...

Am I able to upgrade the controller for my kit?

This is all that I could find on the amperage of the current controller. Specifications: - Wheel Size: 26" - Top Speed: 28 MPH - Motor: 48V 1000W - Amps: 20.83 - Net Weight: 28.7lb The battery is supposed to be 48 volt 20ah with Samsung cells but I am not sure what kind of draw it can handle...

Am I able to upgrade the controller for my kit?

I was wondering if I could upgrade the controller for this kit https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00GIXZKP8/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8 I am hoping to get a bit more speed and torque from the motor as well as being able to adjust the amount of pedal assist.

    Choosing a rear hub kit

AHicks, I emailed leaf bike a few days ago and while waiting on a response from them I am reading and replying to other comments as well.

    Choosing a rear hub kit

My bike does have hydraulic brakes. I don't plan to travel at that speed often or for very long, I would just like to have the option to go 40mph if needed. I see posts with direct drive 1500 watt bikes that say they go this fast but I haven't been able to find the details of what motor/...

    Choosing a rear hub kit

I am pretty set on the rear hub due to ease of install and less moving parts. I was thinking of overvolting possibly. Are there any particular 2000 watt or less hubs that are wound for speed over torque and may be better candidates?

    Choosing a rear hub kit

I did not know it was not feasible to go 40 for very long. My current bike will cruise at 29 mph for as long as I ask it to but I was hoping to build one capable of 40 for the few times I do ride on roads that are 35mph. Going 40 will not be my main goal but it would definitely be beneficial...

    Choosing a rear hub kit

Are the geared hubs capable of reaching a decent top speed (40 mph) like the direct drive? I would not mind a gated hub as I believe it would allow me to pedal a bit easier if needed.

    Choosing a rear hub kit

I am looking for a decent rear hub kit that is 1500-2000 watts. Something that would preferably run on 48-52 volts. I am looking for something reasonably priced but don't want to really cheap out on it. Are there any particular brands or kits that are a little higher quality than others?

    REI co-op DRT 1.1

I am looking at a DRT 1.1 that is for sale used locally. I just wanted to make sure this would be an acceptable bike to convert into an e-bike. I'm planning to do a 1500-2000 watt rear hub. It will be used on the road and for light trail riding.

    Which frame and ebike kit?

I do want to ride without power. I don't know much about mid drive. Is it only better due to drag? If so how much more drag does a rear hub cause

    Which frame and ebike kit?

I would like to build my second Ebike. I want to build something that I can ride unpowered when going on family bike rides but also something that will do 40+mph that I can ride on our local roadways to keep up with traffic if need be. I have my eye on a 1500 watt rear hub but am struggling to...

    Hello from Ohio!

Hey everyone. I am hoping to build my 2nd ebike pretty soon. I currently have a huffy nighthawk with a 1000w hub. It doesn't really shift gears, the tires are not quite true, front shocks don't work/stick and the front brake pulsates. It operates safely but just isn't a great experience to...
