    Wallke W-PAS 50% regeneration?

The email from Wallke said motor was Shengyi, 750 watt nominal, geared rear hub motor. Someone indicated they may be using similar technology to the gmac motor and getting regen from a geared hub motor. It would be great to know if a company has actually done this and broken the 10 percent...

    Wallke W-PAS 50% regeneration?

Wallke e-mailed me that it's the Shengyi 750 watt motor. I am trying to independently verify that because others have said Reibok. It would be nice to research this motor a little by having the model number and manufacturer. Especially since they are advertising a 50 percent regenerative...

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

Yes, it's going to weigh a lot! But, in my opinion, it's going to maximize weight to torque, heat, reliability/longevity while still being able to pack a deer, the bike, and equipment up a steep hill in the middle of nowhere, on a limited budget! I am, of course, brainstorming, at this point...

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

The reasons I chose a 20 over a 26 is as follows: 1)I am going to use a nongeared hub motor and the 20 will spin faster which will make the motor more efficient. When climbing steep hills every bit of mechanical advantage helps! 2)The 20 will make the overall bike smaller which provides a...

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

This is out of my budget. It is yet to be seen but I am hoping to build something much stronger for less money. I have seen the independent testing on Bafang motors and they are not living up to their claimed torque numbers. Of course I realize we should be looking at the whole bike and I am...

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

I have never had those types of problems with 20" tires. I prefer the weight distribution for climbing and the wheels have proven much stronger then the 26".

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

The 500 lbs is with gear, bike, me, and game weight. You are right riding up a hill at 30 is much different then 40. I have done in granny gear leaned over and driving as hard as I can with 50 lbs and it just about killed me. That's why I think a second motor in the front might be needed to...

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

My budget is under 5k. But these bikes don't have enough power or strength to handle what I am proposing. But I feel I can build it. The question is will it perform as I envisioned it.

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

A lot of the trails are single track, winding, steep and cannot be traversed by a vehicle.

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

I am building it because I can't seem to find a bike that has everything I want. The weight would be 500 lbs total with Rider, bike, and trailer. I realize it's large but I feel it has to be large to get enough torque, strength, durability, and for heat dissipation.

Want to build a hunting bike with a hub motor

I am building a hunting fat bike. 20" x 4" wheels. Don't care about weight. I want it to be able to pull a trailer. Total combined weight of 500 lbs. Grades between 20 and 40 percent. I would prefer to stay with a gearless, direct drive hub motor. I am designing it with one motor in the...

    Wallke W-PAS 50% regeneration?

I emailed wallke and they claim it's the 750 watt nominal geared motor from the company Shengyi (62 nm of torque). Can someone confirm the company, model number, and if it is a geared hub motor. I thought geared hub motors did not have regenerative capability!
