Bad analogy. The steak doesn't use the same source of heat as the rice cooker. Fixing your analogy: JB is trying to cook both on a single burner, in which case not cooking one speeds up the other.

Thanks. I like their entire Juggernaut line. But was just wondering what the difference in price might be if the drive was the only difference. The Jugger is $3000 but if it was a hub drive I don't think it would be RCS price. If the 2019 version of RCS Or CCS for that matter) was a midrive...

Just about all smartphones have that capability now. And what a great idea that would be for JB to set themselves apart from other online dealers -- even LBSes! Bringing the bike tech into your garage.

That was not my intention. I've added a clarification in my post.

    What's it Worth to You

How much more would you pay for an CCS/RCS if it had a 750W 8fun mid-drive (holding other features the same)? [Editor: This is not meant to be a debate or discussion on mid v. rear. The question is primarily for those that may prefer a mid for the already known reasons. Thus, the answer is...

New Juiced Bike Model: The Scrambler, fat 20" Wheels, Class 3, Double-Seater

Not very revolutionary. Its a Super 73 with pedal assist https://www.lithiumcycles.com/. But I do think they are kinda cool

True what you say about forum posts. But it is also true that for every negative post there are a lot more that could be posted that don't get posted. However, I don't think anyone here is knocking the bike itself, or at least there is no pattern of negative opinions of a technical nature. On a...

"All built on our 'class-leading' 52 Volt battery platform..." Need I say more? At least they can say with accuracy it is a pre-order: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/the-scrambler-choose-your-e-bike-adventure/coming_soon/pies

Of course that does not explain delays for bikes with 12.8 Ah battery

Literally speaking, there is only 1 June 2018 Pre-Order in stock. Of all the June pre-orders, only 1 person will get a bike  :p

Q: If I restrict my Class 3 to 20mph is it now a Class 1?

It would seem logical to distinguish between getting to 20/28 mph on throttle only and 20/28 mph using pedal assist when defining bicycle types and setting them apart from motor driven cycles. The class system allows the use of lower-speed e-bikes on bicycle paths, and also provides local...

CrossCurrent S hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit

Interesting debate. My first thought is cutoff would be a good feature, one reason being the trustworthiness of Chinese parts and the possibility of a stuck throttle. But I can now see it would be a hindrance on a eMTB, or any condition where you would want to feather the brakes while still...

CrossCurrent S hydraulic Brake Bleed Kit

Check this out: http://www.tektro-usa.com/category.php?catid=188&productid=1108 Unless JB is using custom connection I don't know what the issue is in Chula Vista; but maybe they use their own setup and don't want to recommend a brand. Amazon carries a whole bunch of universal type kits

I disagree that internet ordering is the cause and/or makes the issue different from LBS. The central issue is JB (apparently) keeps no stock except that which is already paid for by the customer. I have seen no reason here to believe that JB cannot behave like an LBS -- except "L" would stand...

Rip Current S - owner problems & solutions

Nope, showing sold out. The 12.8Ah slim style is on "pre-order" and so is my bike that uses it (which contradicts some posts that blame the larger "custom" battery for bike pre-orders)

    Detailed Ride Report - Distance/Battery

@NeilCruz Yeah....I am trading oomph for comfort on the step-thru frame. Battery not upgradable. I'm not commuting, just errands and joy rides. Compared to my Class 2 Prodeco Phantom X, which I could get ~20 miles under good conditions with a 38v/12a battery, I am hoping for something closer...

    Detailed Ride Report - Distance/Battery

Wow. Thanks for that. I'm 80 lb heavier and the CCS ST I am getting will be with 12.8Ah battery. Still seems like I will be able to get 30 miles out of a charge and have 20% to spare?
