BTW the Cirrus Cycles KINEKT 2.1 Aluminum Bike Seatpost with Suspension Post (27.2 x 350 mm) got installed last week when it was at the LBS getting a firmware update on the motor and highly recommend. Definitely smooths out the road imperfections like manhole covers and bridge transitions, etc...

I checked with the Specialized app and here's the rev number. Too my knowledge this has been the only update for the Vado 5.

Had my Vado 5 SL into LBS suburban Philly for a 200 mile check and firmware update on the motor. And Cirrus Cycle seat post install. And noticed a brand new Silver Turbo Vado 5 SL like mine unsold on display. So Specialized starting to ship product, a good thing.

The Vado 5 SL is in very high demand. No LBS will get stuck with one if he is even lucky enough to have one for sale. I ordered mine back end of June putting down $2500 deposit site unseen. I knew what it could do. Just wish I had more time to ride it. It will be hard for me to ever go back...

You made the right call. Weight to me is important with the Trek @ 54 lbs+ and the Vado @ 33. Thats a big deal when transporting on a bike rack, moving it up a stairs, and total trip range. Nothing against Trek who make great bikes, but Specialized won this one.

I agree Scott. The fact that it doesn't look like an eBike appealed to me. And it's so lightweight. Specialized really hit the sweet spot with this one.

Expat just picked up a Vado 5 SL from Keswick in Paoli. Live in Chester Springs and ride the Chester Valley Trail. Use to date a gal in Manayunk and remember the Core States bike race that went through there. The hill climb was brutal.
