Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

The freight company, Pilot, called the day before it was delivered to confirm that I would be here to receive it. It came in a big box that two guys carried fairly easily out of the van and onto our driveway. I meant to get pictures of the unpacking, but at that point my husband pounced on it...

Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

It is like magic, really! Now I am saving for an action camera. I think my husband is going to need a CCS soon, too. A little bike envy going on around here. :p

Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

Thanks! I keep trying to get everyone I know who rides a bike, has long enough legs and is over 18 to give my CCS a try, I want them all to experience the fun too! I have only seen 3 other ebikes being ridden around my neighborhood and town over the past several years, which is a little strange...

Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

I hope they get it to you soon! I live fairly close to Juiced, in the middle of California, and mine arrived a couple of days before the outside estimate from Amazon. They called the day before to be sure that I would be here to receive it. Before that, I couldn't pass the computer without...

Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

I think I am going to have to make a little "cheat sheet" on a piece of masking tape or a sticky note, so that I can remember how to use all of the features of the computer like walk mode and cruise control, until I have them memorized, haha. I had to look up how to turn on the light the second...

Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

I feel for you. : ) The waiting reminded me of being a kid before Christmas. I just tried to remember that I had already been waiting for years, before I ordered it! So far, mine has been worth the wait, hope yours is too!

Finally got to take my new CCS out for a ride yesterday! First impressions...

I have had my CCS for about 10 days, but hadn't had a chance to take it out for a "real" ride until yesterday. I had ridden it up and down our street with no power a few times, and around the block with power once or twice, but hadn't had a chance to spend more than a few minutes on it, or put...

My VEB Cafe thread. (1st Year Recap: post #83)

Hi Christob! Vintage Electric sure make some beautiful bikes! I think that years ago when I saw a Tracker on an episode of American Pickers, that is what first got me interested in ebikes. If I ever win the lottery, A VEB is on the list, for sure! Hope you are enjoying your Cafe, it looks like...

Has anyone tried a shorter stem and or riser bars on their ccs? Is there enough cable?

Thanks, Bob! I saw one of those that I particularly liked on a customized pedigo one time, but I don't remember the brand. I was thinking of the shorty stem and riser bars, because I probably have those in my garage already. I have been squirreling away a few parts for project bike that hasn't...

Has anyone tried a shorter stem and or riser bars on their ccs? Is there enough cable?

I am considering a shorter stem and riser bars for my new ccs. Maybe I will start with a 55-65mm stem and then see if I have some 3" risers with a little sweep laying around. Has anyone tried this or something similar?

Hello from California Central Coast! Just ordered my first e-bike...

The new CCS has arrived! It got here just before dark, so I haven't had a chance to ride it with power yet (charging...). My first impressions are: It was packed carefully. It was pretty easy to get it out of the carton and set up to roll around, we do have lots of experience with basic...

    Beware the Bicycle Lane

Gosh, that is horrible! Hope that everything gets taken care of the way it should. It is really easy to not notice everything bruised and broken on yourself and your bike when something like this first happens. I guess it is because of the adrenaline and the "happy I survived" feeling. Maybe...

Why no discussions about clipless pedals on ebikes

I am also new to the ebike world, researched for years before I finally ordered one last week (haven't gotten it yet), and I have been pondering a similar question. I used to ride mountain bikes a lot, and I have power grips on my mountain bikes. Power grips are a wide strap that are fastened to...

Do you name your bikes, and how did they get their names, if you do?

Long may Frank roll! I have noticed that the ones I have named have developed distinct personalities over the years. Ronald can be a little mean, sometimes I am sure that he wanted to throw me off a cliff when I wasn't climbing a mountain fast enough to suit him. Let him fly over bumpy...

Do you name your bikes, and how did they get their names, if you do?

My favorite bicycles all have names. Mostly, this started when the family "bike stable" got some twin models that were very different after personal modifications. It just made the bikes easier to talk about, and we talk about our bikes a lot! There is Ronald, Sylvia, Bluebell and Rosy. These...
