Rize RX Pro - After a couple of weeks

Agree on all points. This was my first and last Rize purchase. I wondered about the pas assist ‘3-5-9’ myself. Does nothing different between eco mode and sport mode. Not explained in the manual either. What happened to your RTG bike?

2020 Rize RX Range test - hill climbing at Bear Lake UT

I also see that the % is off. The % level will drop, then after not riding for 15-20 minutes, it will recover 5-8%, but then it drops even even faster on the next ride. Currently, I show 28% battery but the voltage is 47.3 which is a large discrepancy.

Rize RX - First E-bike experience and review

    2. Motor - power while riding 3/5 - very LOUD, the loudest of all the bikes I’ve ridden - feel surges when trying to soft pedal - lag in shutting down when you stop peddling - plenty of torque on very steep hills - You fear NO mountain! Very loud? Surges? I would be concerned about this. I...

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

More typical Rize bs. Mark will tell you it’s normal because they don’t want to replace the pads. They will never replace the pads anyway. It is not normal. Any bike shop will tell you this. Mark himself has gone back and forth on this with me. At first he couldn‘t even recognize the sound when...

but it does. 5% left, fully charged ‘green’ and 54.6 volt in less than eight hours. I’ve monitored this.

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Yes, I realize this. It’s a slow charger. But this is not how the charger worked on previous charges when it was green way before the 8 hour mark, at even higher drainage of only 5% left. I also know that charging to 100% is fine, if you use the bike soon after. I will have to invest in the Luna.

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Lol! Mark is the guy they throw under the bus. He’s friendly, has a mellow, emphatic tone. Lots of regretful sounding exclamations of “I know, I know, I understand completely...” followed by a lot of “I‘m sorry, (your name here) but we can’t do anything.” He now seems to answer the phone full...

Is warranty on rize leisure transferable?

It is. All they need is the order number.

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

    1. I know that. Other brands reporting same problems with tectro pads. I don‘ t know what this ‘Unique’ statement has to do with anything. 2. You would think. But when I start hearing this condescending and elitist “you bought a bottom barrel $3600 bike so you get what you deserve”, I start to...

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

Good to know. Now, because of your post, I’ll also be looking into trek in the future just because they helped you out and did the right thing. These small things go a long way to future business. Many companies just don’t realize how much.

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

Oh no! Not being content, that would be real bad! Sorry, not on the rize Facebook forum where everything has to be sunshine and elves. Well, here we see a problem when a company talks to you and can’t admit a basic fact while continuing to smile around it. And a fact simply remedied, a fact that...

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

This can’t run like the bixtrix thread because rize would never actually participate. They are not concerned about forums. It’s all up to us users. I am practically the only person on youtube posting videos about the rx pro and leisure. And they are not all negative videos. ‘Wear and tear‘ also...

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I can tell you that I like my rize rx Pro, in spite of having to spend more money to replace bad brake pads. The motor upgrade from a leisure to the ultra is huge, well worth the $1000 extra. I’ve ridden both bikes. The only problem is inaccurate odometer but I am trying to compensate by...

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

Wrong? No. They refused to pay or replace because Pads were not covered under their warranty. It wouldn’t matter if I waited and did nothing. In spite of my video evidence, bike shop confirmation of defect, Rize admittance of tektro bad batch on bikes, they not only refused to replace, which is...

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

Lol! An internet connection you say! A set of tools? Wow. Thanks for the valuable tip! This is an Ebike forum for rize bikes. Do you even own this bike? I have every right to post or complain about the bike, or ask questions - about its parts, or the service or lack of service given by rize...

I just wish I could find pads cheaper than $30 a pair, which is what the shop charges for jagwire deore.

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

In the US. Cost in Canada is $30-40 with a 4 week wait. And I would never buy tektro again. It‘s curious how many keep recommending the same video after I repeatedly said these brakes were defective and confirmed defective by the shop, and rize confirmed that tektro released a bad batch...

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

Wow, that‘s scary. I’m glad to see that they are replacing the controller. This seems to be an exception to their warranty rules on pads. Can you install the controller yourself? If they did pay for your cab fare, where would the bike go? You would need a truck to transport this bike. You can...

Rize refuses to replace or pay for faulty brake pads on leisure and rx pro

Had the shop do It. First they tried cleaning and sanding. Made no difference. Total replacement was $30 a pair plus $20 a pair install = $100. I will have to do this with my second new bike as well.

Known Issues & Problems with Rize Bikes Products + Help, Solutions, & Fixes

I feel for you. Mark likes to give you the run around. He tried everything in the book to deny that my brake pads were faulty, in spite of sending him videos of the noise, having confirmation from a bike shop that they were defective, and telling him that my $100 replacements did not make noise...
