JoePah, thanks for writing. I will look for the threads you mentioned. Tora, the additional information is appreciated. I ordered a Cycle Satiator today.

    Battery warmer

I am happy to report Tora's response to my question about keeping the battery safe in cold weather: "The battery does not need to be kept warm necessarily even when charging. It is just that there will be noticeable temporary decrease in range when the pack is in colder conditions. It...

I'm glad you're okay after the grocery misadventure! That must have been stressful. Flying TP and Budweiser would have been quite a sight!

    Battery warmer

Hi Jim, I'd like to keep riding on some days when it's above freezing, but the temps could drop a lot at night, which wouldn't be good for the battery unless it is protected. I'll write to Tora and ask about options. Thanks! I'm jealous of your lovely warmer climate, but we have had a very...

    Battery warmer

The ODK batteries are not removable. I don't know why that is the case, when it would make things so much easier. (If it's a theft issue, I would think there would be a way to add a slot or other feature to the battery that would allow it to have a lockable cable threaded through it.)

    Battery warmer

Happy holidays everyone! In the cold weather I have been keeping my ODK in a small warm room in our barn, but it is crowded. I would prefer to keep the bike in the garage, which would be more spacious and convenient. Would it be good to use a battery warmer on the ODK battery? Any...

Sorry about the theft... that must have been a blow. The ODK range is awesome! Best wishes and let us know how you make out.

Welcome GG! Your description on using the bike at work is inspiring. What kind/brand of trailer(s) are you looking at? My ODK does not have pedal assist, so I don't know how that factors into the mix. I start out in low gear to get going, set the cruise control to an appropriate speed, pedal...

That looks like an interesting volunteer opportunity. All the pictures evoke interesting stories, especially the one with all the snow.

Nah, you won't catch me shootin' Bambi. Speaking of bike trains, take a look at these bad boys: http://www.bikesatwork.com/bike-trailers/customers There are some very creative ideas on that page!

My first trip to get groceries with the new Burley trailer today was a big success. The trailer followed quietly and the plastic tub held a week's groceries in four large bags, including an insulated bag for cold items. With this setup, the bike is easier for this lightweight to handle, and the...

The Burley Flatbed was an investment, but I was ready and hope to keep it forever. The last time I went grocery shopping gave me a shove towards buying. I had to stop at an intersection. The road was sloped and the bike was so heavily laden with groceries, I just couldn't keep it upright and...

Hi Joe, Thanks for the information. I got my ODK last April and have not had tire issues, but I am not a commuter any more. Do you know how the moped tires would they affect the ride of the bike, considering it doesn't have a suspension system? I wouldn't want it to be bouncier :-)

Jim, I bet you are right about speed potentially affecting trailer and bike stability. Wobbling is no fun and fifteen mph should be fine for me. The Clampett Mobile is hysterical! Well, we don't need to look cool for grocery shopping... and I don't. I haven't come up with any names for my bike...

The Wald baskets look great! With those and your trailer, you will be able to carry a huge amount.

Thanks! I put a very not-classy plastic tub on the flatbed and secured it with bungee cords. I'll keep an eye out for a better-looking carrier, maybe some kind of water resistant duffle bag. Either way, my new "rig" should be a big help on shopping days. It's also easier for me to deploy the...

Congratulations, Mr. Rabbit! Your new bike is beautiful! I finally got a trailer. I'd been watching the bike trailers on Craigslist for a few months, but didn't find anything in good condition within easy driving distance, so I bit the bullet and ordered a new one. I ended up getting a Burley...

I see the new charger on the JR website and am thinking that would be a good investment. But I don't see the passenger seats... does anyone know if those will those be posted soon?
