Hi, I´m replacing the mechanical breaks and rotors. I read around that not all calipers fit with a hub motor so I wanned to make sure before buying. Some have to install a bigger rotor or they manage to file the edge off the caliper.

Let me describe what I see...... The metal shell melted, and it exposed the outer layer of lithium.... It did NOT puncture through layers, Just exposed the top layer! That being said, do you think it can still over heat or catch fire?? I was reckless.... I wanned to see how the pack would sit...

I remember a few years ago when I was in the Laser hobby, I used those diodes alot to make laser diode "dummy loads" ( used 3, 4 or 5 of them in series with a 1 ohm resistor to get a desired load).
