Chain Keeper on the CCX can it be sold separately?

Chain drops are mainly caused by riding over uneven pavement or a big bump. The 9 speed drive chain that juiced bikes uses on all of their bikes does not have the adjustable clutch that holds the tension on the derailleur like on some of the Deore XT 10 speeds.

Chain Keeper on the CCX can it be sold separately?

Yes, it’s been installed on my HF1000 for the past 3500 miles and hasn’t dropped a chain once.

Chain Keeper on the CCX can it be sold separately?

Try something like this, Chainspy or Chainspy2: https://problemsolversbike.com/products/shifters-derailleurs/chainspy_-_30979

Thinking strongly about ordering the CCX

Exactly that, here in the US, I feel we're forced onto roadways a lot more often than other countries. Plus we don't have a bicycling culture that recognizes bikes/ebikes as a real form of transit. As for the 28mph limit, a lot of people haven't figured out that 28mph is not a speed that can...

Thinking strongly about ordering the CCX

The chain maintenance was something that I kept a close eye on with the chain checker. The moment it reached .75% stretch on the gauge I ended up changing it, but it still wasn't enough to prevent the wear on chain ring. What sucks even more is the Haibike ones are a chain ring and integrated...

Thinking strongly about ordering the CCX

The fact that some manufacturers are not conforming to the three class system shows two things. There’s a huge market for eBikes that can attain speeds above 28mph. Secondly, the class system that now exists was a mistake. The eBike market originating from the European brands has already played...

Thinking strongly about ordering the CCX

I wouldn’t call myself a giant fan of Juiced Bikes but I do own a HF1000. I had a mixed experience with the quality of the bike and customer service. With the HF line of bikes, I think they were rushed out the door. However a friend just bought a CCX and is very happy with it. Juiced bikes has...

    36v 750w Motor with a 36v 500w Possible?

Usually if the kit was purchased from one vendor it should be plug and play. It gets tricky when you have to make your own wiring and do your own connectors. A 750w motor should cover the wide swath of most uses. My daily bike can do 1700w peak power, but it only takes like 700w of continuous...

    36v 750w Motor with a 36v 500w Possible?

You’ll want to figure out if the battery is 500 watt hours as a rating of capacity or if the manufacturer has rated the pack for up to 500w of continuous power. It much more likely that the battery pack is 500 watt hours. Both are different ratings as watt hours is like the fuel capacity vs...

Clattering sound on Bosch Performance Speed

Thanks for the input. I just ordered a crank puller and the new chain ring with the Miranda chain guard. Luckily I knew that someday I’d have to remove that crank with the stripped thread and have a spare set of cranks ready to go.

Clattering sound on Bosch Performance Speed

Can you link to the type of puller tool that you used? Failing that I could use a cut off wheel, but would rather use less invasive methods.

It finally happened - ran out of juice

I could probably do 19-21 miles in Turbo on my Bosch Performance Speed with 500wh battery. The 400wh battery only got me 17 miles at most, with some windy days only getting about 16 miles. With the Bosch display, the five ticks on the battery are a little misleading. The last 20% indicator...

Clattering sound on Bosch Performance Speed

I'm nearing 5000 miles on my Haibike Trekking S with Bosch Performance Speed motor. I recently changed the chain with the exact stock Shimano replacement. This is the 3rd chain for this motor. The drivetrain is a 10-speed Shimano Deore XT. After changing the chain I've noticed that the front...

Bosch Speed Performance system shuts down mid ride.

The only other thing I can think of is a loose connector from the battery to the motor, or a loose connection from the button pad and/or display unit.

Bosch Speed Performance system shuts down mid ride.

I think the indents are acceptable. Issues start to crop up if the battery has too much play. On my bike the battery was too loose and the looseness caused arcing from the battery contact to the receptacle on the bike frame. You can adjust the battery lock tension by removing the plastic cover...

    Juiced Bikes Electric Skateboards

It’s good that there’s another player in the eboard marketplace. While my primary commute mode is eBike, I found that riding a Boostedboard is great for the local quick errands that are less than a couple miles. I’d love to test one of these boards out and compare it to my Boostedboard. Tora...

On the fence about about the 2019 rad mini or rip current ?

You'll want to try both as you'll hear arguments in both directions about cadence only vs cadence and torque sensing. After test riding and owning a number of various ebikes ranging from a Sondors to Stromer, I'm in the camp that thinks torque sensing is a requirement. For lack of a better...

Crosscurrent CCX vs Haibike SDURO Trekking 5.0

I just rode my friends CCX last week and it was a blast. I own a modified HF1000 and and a Haibike Trekking, comparing the CCX to my other bikes, the CCX controller and motor have great power and smooth application of that power to the motor. If you need to pump up the speed you’ll be able to...

    Headlight on st2

The m99 Pro does not require CANBUS connection to work. I have one connected to my Juiced Bike with only the standard positive and negative battery terminals and it works great.
