getting a regular bike after my battery fails?

man I ordered the kit for the trek I was hoping since I dont ride it as much I could go without nome my thumb told me nope. I ordered the kit yesterday today I see its on sale 250.00 less. ouch. but I shut ordered it again with overnight shipping so I get it Friday and even the restocking fee I save abut 180.00 at least the trek I can use a standard shimano 12 speed 11-36 cassette no changing the freehub. plus the chagrin seems to work with 12 speed too.

yes because I am using the road cassette. I dont need a 11-51 on the trek. I found out its the 10th or 9 size cog that demands the microsplne freehub. so a cassette with 11t can be either.
My only question is if it is a "Road HG" freehub body. It is longer than the "MTB HG" one.

EDIT:
@fooferdoggie my buddies told me your freehub body was MTB HG because you could use a 11-36T 11-speed cassette with no extra washer. The 11-36T 12-speed cassette is longer by 1 millimetre and you need a Road HG freehub body.

Please inform me how it went, I'm very much interested!

Yep, I just found that out. so walked to the bike store and got the longer one. Now this was cool no adjustment at all. once I got the chain size right and tested it the shifting was perfect and I never had to do anything.

Well, my thumb is doing much better. It’s a bit tricky using the shifters, as they have a soft push and stop, then a firmer one that clicks. For some reason, Shimano made the upshift harder than the down— just backwards from the regular shifters. But you can program the first and second settings on the buttons separately. Like, a light push is a single shift, but a light push and hold can be set for multi-shift, like two or three gears or unlimited. The second click can be different. The trick is doing a light press most of the time unless you need rapid shifting.

I know this. The XTR has two positions: a short click for single and the full way down for multishift. I have set the multishift for two gears at once, it's enough for me. I also moved the shifter to the left so I only need to touch the paddle with the tip of my thumb in the normal hand position on the grip.

Note: The push-pull mechanical XT shifter has never required my attention but the Di2 does.

if you hold the button but not click it it will multi shift too. it takes practice but its a lot less effort on my thumb. so I have the click do a lot mroe shifting if I need it fast.

nope sorry. The only difference between the two beside tiitanium is you can use ascrew to get rid of the second click.
You see, I own both the Di2 Deore and the Di2 XTR shifters. Do you think you know it better?

The XT and XTR shifters are less different
