2021 Vado 3.0 Battery "Permanent Failure"

Hi all

The agent's diagnostic report on my battery says that the battery status is "permanent failure" after 154 cycles. Health is 86%, and charging is working.

They want R 27 000 00 (USD 1 600) for a new battery! I can get a 2025 Vado 3.0 for R 39 000 00 (USD 2 300).

What would you do?

I see that here in the US, the batt price is $1000. I would lean to the new bike if you enjoy your 2021 model. Even better if you get any sort of trade allowance. If not, at least the new battery is good for both bikes.

Not an expert, but permanent failure seems premature. I'd make sure to balance the new battery periodically w/ a full charge and avoid charging at extreme temps.
