Why does EBR hate recumbents?

Recumbent e-bikes do hardly exist. Take it as a man.
If you do not agree, show me a mid-drive motor recumbent e-bike, preferably with a Bosch motor.
Another one mid drive:

Why does e bike have to have a Bosch mid drive motor???
What is wrong with Mahle hub drive motor?
Not necessarily a Bosch. I mentioned a Bosch as it is the industry standard for mid-drive motors.
Try climbing a 14% grade hill with a Mahle hub drive motor.

My general point is big brands do not make recumbents.

the RANS E-Phoenix PROJECT
The "project" is the keyword here. The e-bike hell is paved with "projects".

A better question would be: How many of these big established recumbent ebike brands have offered to provide bikes for EBR to review in the last year?

IF the answer is more than zero, THEN a follow-up would be why EBR decided not to review them. (The obvious assumption being that given a choice they will choose to review bikes that generate the most interest/clicks before extreme niche bikes like 2 wheel e-recumbents which are a niche of the niche recumbent market)

I think your Lightning looks interesting and is the style of recumbent I would pursue if that were my thing, but I'm not a fan of their circa 2001 website with multiple broken links, lack of clear specs, or somewhat generous definition of American made.
Three of the brands offered. No response.

Trek and Cannondale both made recumbents.

One of my Warsaw buddies indeed owns an electrified recumbent bike. He told me he hates it and doesn't ride it. I guess the reason is a powerful primitive hub drive motor such as a Bafang :)

Really who's to blame and perhaps more primitive.. an inanimate electric motor or the simpleton that buys it?
More than likely the situation is above his skillset as well.

The reason is probably because recumbents have always been their own somewhat niche thing, and EBR (and many ebike specific forums) are more oriented towards enthusiasts who mainly ride uprights. Just not that many people buying and riding bents in general. Just is what it is.

I've been around here a while and haven't really seen any bias against bents. I've posted my trike a few times (non electric) and don't remember ever getting "hate" for it. They are niche machines, but very fun and and theres nothing wrong with them.

I hate them because they look dumb, the people that ride them are stupid and I think they should be outlawed. Is that the answer you were looking for? I don’t really believe that but you seem to be taking a confrontational approach to the subject. Nothing wrong with them at all, I would attach one of those tall orange flags to it if I owned one.

Yeah, super confrontational approach. The likely answer is you don't see much recumbent content here because we don't have very many members with recumbents. I would disagree that theres some sort of "bias" or "hate" against them. If you want to see more, post your electric recumbent rides and content like any other member instead of complaining.
