I detest the stock kickstand option for my Interceptor. I bought an Ursus "jumbo," which rubbed against the chain when up/not in use. I am only looking for double recommendations. I'd love one that isn't gigantic! My major issues with the stock option is that it's unreliable, wobbly at times, and I don't like it in the way of the pedals. Thank you so much!

I searched in vain for a double leg stand for my Interceptor. If you do find one, please post a link. I've found on other bikes, that double leg stands work well on fairly level ground but I ride mostly trails with irregular surfaces. For trails, I much prefer a single leg stand.

The problem with the OEM kickstand on the Pedego Interceptor is, the ground contact point is too far forward. This makes it unstable, especially with weight on the rear rack. I solved the problem on my Interceptor by adding a shim:

This moves the ground contact point about 5" to the rear, making the bike much more stable

This solved the instability issue for me, even with 30# of gear on the rear rack.

The shim is made from a piece of 1" x 1/8" thick aluminum angle, available at Home Depot:

I used a screw to hold the shim in place but a metal rated epoxy works just as well.

Interesting fix! I am trying the Velo Orange double "swing" kickstand this week. It kind of spreads out when you kick it down. Both legs are on the non-chain side. Never saw one of these before- didn't know they existed. I will report back with my findings!

I just bought a very similar one this week from Velo Orange

I checked out the Velo Orange dual leg kickstand, and it may be better quality than my version.

I might have the Chinese knock-off version of the Velo Orange ?

Yours has more of a name attached to it. (although it probably isn't made in Denmark? Maybe it's designed to be used in Copenhagen? 😁)

The Velo looks like an interesting product and I may give one a try. Thanks for posting.
It should work well for level, paved or smooth surfaces but not so much for trail use. The reviews I've read tend to agree.

Yeah, that is an issue.
I stopped at a bench for a break, and set my ebike up on the double kickstand.

It stood there nicely for almost 5 minutes before it decided to fall over. 😁

The one leg sank into the soft grassy soil. It is an 85 pound ebike though.
The mirror and windshield survived the "crash" without a scratch.
