Velotric Go 1 Spokes Sheared Off at Hub!

So today I decided to do some upkeep on my Velotric Go 1 - Tire Pressure - Lube Chain & Gears - and Wipe Down with damp rag.
Then I noticed I have 8 Broken Spokes on the right side of the rear hub.

I put Blue Painters Tape on each of the broken spokes to make them easier to see.
There are 36 Spokes total with 18 on the left side and 18 on the right side.
There are 9 "pairs" which "cross over" each other and 8 of the 9 on the right side are Sheared Off.
Basically every other "Pair" on the right side Except for one.

In this close-up you can see how they are sheared off.

I put Zip Ties on each of the "Pairs" where they cross over just to hold them in place.

My bike is 1-1/2 years old and came with a 2 year warranty. I've never had to call Velotric on a Warranty Issue, but
I'm hoping they'll cover this.

Anyone here had to file a warranty claim with Velotric and how did it go?

Thanks for Replying

Holy crap. Did you not hear lots of clicking/clacking from the wheel when riding? Did you adjust the spokes at all?

Sorry, no idea about Velotric’s warranty or CS, but a bunch of folks around here own their products. Good luck.

If I have to pay to fix this myself about how much would it cost?

Yikes! Just checked the rear spokes on wife's Breeze — so far, so good at 200-300 mi but will definitely keep an eye on them going forward.

Our only customer service experience went well. The Breeze tended to drop the chain outward in 7th and 8th gear. Called the closest Velotric dealer (not the one we bought it from), and they took it in right away.

New shop, young mechanic. Defective chainring suspected but not proven. We were asked to come back in 2 days to have the regional manager look at it. He brought a new chainring, confirmed the diagnosis, and supervised the replacement. No charge, no problems since.

I did not notice any clicking or loose spokes last time I rode.

I'm retired and only ride my bike once or twice a week to groceries and/or bank.
It's a year and a half old with 898 miles is kinda low at only 10.5 miles a week since Dec. 02, 2023.
I wouldn't expect this kind of damage unless the spokes were defective or installed improperly at the factory.

it's odd how all of the broken ones are all on the right side of the rear only, and not on the left side or front.
