Charger advice

I was thinking of getting an additional charger for my Tero X 5.0. And I was looking at my charger which is an SBC-C07. The charger for my wife’s Como 3.0 is an SBC-C04. They both appear to be electrically similar. So my questions are as follows. Firstly would the C04 charge my Tero or vice versa with the C07 and the Como. The second question is to ask if my charger is typically supplied with the Tero X. I have long had a suspicion that although it operates as it should. Is it the correct OE charger for my bike.

Thankyou in advance 😀

Both chargers will work with either of your e-bikes. The only difference is the supply AC voltage:
  • SBC-04 accepts 110-240 V (worldwide)
  • SBC-07 accepts 230-240 V (Europe including the UK)
Full power Specialized chargers.

Off the back of this. I was just thinking that mechanically the 530wh battery from my wifes Como 3.0 looks like it will fit my Tero. But I assume its not as simple as that ?

Just swap it now to see :)
Specialized has always maintained battery compatibility across a model line. For example, an older Vado 3.0 had a 430 Wh battery, Vado 4.0 had a 500 Wh one, and Vado 5.0 came with a 604 Wh battery. It was purely because of a big price difference between those batteries. However, the spare battery you could buy was always the biggest available.

Specialized batteries are in no way "dumb"; these are sophisticated computers. However, they intentionally maintain compatibility.

I wasnt trying to cause offence. Unfortunately it is a term we use in my industry. But just to update the 530wh battery from the Como does indeed operate in my Tero.

No offence felt whatsoever! I would use the term "compatible across the e-bike family" :)

Have an absolutely fantastic day! (A Bank Holiday?)
