Well, the day has finally arrived for me to get my Nevo GT Rohloff HS and I have done so. My wife dropped me off this morning at the shop and I rode it home. Yay! I definitely need to figure out the gears and the power assist; or it is just so smooth that I didn't notice it. All in good time...

True, @Jay Kay, but if you turn off finding other iPhones you will severely restrict the range and utility of the device. If the tag is hidden, if you leave notifications on and the thief cannot find it quickly, they may abandon it. Or not.

@webcurl I'm just hoping the device has a sim card and enough power to connect to a local tower. The tower can do the communicating from there. I may be searching for a yet to be created (or yet possible) device.
