I own an ST5, it handles fire roads just fine thanks to the fat tires.

Might not let you shut down while updating. There will be a icon in the top menu bar of two arrows circling a dot if it is updating. Or sometimes the software just craps out and freezes. Long hold the the mechanical power button if so.

No, that seems similar but I think the ST5 handle bars are a little wider if I remember correctly. One thing you have to take into consideration is the larger tires when sizing the bike. You’ll have less stand over clearance compared to the ST2.

Thanks for your response, im fine with the light being on while I’m riding but sometimes I’ll stop somewhere like a park for example and because the light is so bright and blinding everyone I wish I could just turn off the light with the button instead of having to turn off the bike.
