User Prairie Dog (?) uses an X5, I think. He makes some pretty cool vids. I have the older X3 and I like it a lot. Here’s some of my commute from the East Bay into SF.

I initially thought the X half was quite gimmicky but I’ve been seeing some pretty cool pictures made from it.

Love my hipster filters! I think I use 5 different mounts on my Sony mirrorless. Modern lenses are super sharp but I find them a bit too contrasty. The old stuff has a lot of character and that’s what makes them fun.

I grew up and lived on the peninsula up until 2021. These pictures remind me how much I miss it sometimes. I used to ride many hours on the weekends at Sawyer Camp Trail. ❤️

I use a Wi-Fi smart plug. When you ride enough, you start to get sense about how long it roughly takes to get to a target percentage. When I’m commuting regularly, I start the charge at 4:45 AM and I know that by the time I leave at 6 AM, my battery is at a sufficient state of charge.

Yes, absolutely true. The post process is probably taking me twice to three times as long because of the reframing and rendering. It’s definitely fun, though.

You use the digital mirror full time? I appreciate that it’s available when I have things stacked in the hatch blocking the actual mirror but it’s not something I like to use daily.

Charging infrastructure maintenance is definitely the biggest factor holding back more adoption. We’re lucky enough to have a home in which we can have a level 2 charger installed but apartment dwellers and people on road trips will need to have a reliable public charging solution.
