I changed to a 58T front chain ring and then ordered a 60t which I installed yesterday and modified the chain guard. Best so far at 25 mph. I bought a new chain but since I never use the lower gears the stock chain works fine with the larger gear.
The aluminum gear is also much lighter...
Some beautiful scenery and bikes in this thread. Here is my new Wombat-1 grocery getter just back from Aldi.
Only thing I would like to change is a larger chainring to lower my cadence at 20+ mph.
Today I finally made my first Wombat cargo ebike run to Aldi and it went like a charm. No problems....could use a higher gear for top speed pedaling though. Handling seemed better with cargo load weight smooth ride. no sweat nor strain A++

I am retired so no commuting. I have been setting it up for grocery store trips and cruising around the neighborhood.
The bags are not heavy, about 3 lbs ea but the included motorcycle mounting hardware is very heavy. I did not use any of the included hardware.
