    Disappointed.

It is hard to tell from the picture but does not look like it would accept an MIK accessory. You can turn any rack into an MIK rack with one of these adapters from Amazon.

Rear view mirror - bar end

I use the Mirrycle down and in and view under the arm. Having it outboard it a little too wide (trails and street). The problem with the Hafny is that in that position it crowds my fingers under the grip. Having broken a couple Mirrycle mirrors, the stainless reflector would be nice.

    The likely incoming 750w limit

Unfortunately enforcing a speed limit can only yield limited success. Hence politicians/administrators will opt eventually for limiting the available speed capability or power of bikes or even more bans. My son's college just decided that next year no electrics will be allowed on campus. He only...

Am I going to be disappointed with the Tero 3.0?

The Tero 3.0 does not have a dropper seat post. When I bought it in 2022 the 5.0 did have one, not sure about the 4.0. At the time I considered adding one but my pet peeve is needing at least my toes to touch the ground when I am riding on the street. This means that my saddle height is not...

Am I going to be disappointed with the Tero 3.0?

I have had the Turbo Tero 3 for about 3 years and absolutely love the bike. For your reference I am 69 and about 175 lbs. When I bought the bike I was 205 lbs. I currently ride a combination of street (65%) and trails (35%). I live in New England and only experience moderate hills. However, I...

    Specialized App

Can't help with Apple, but on Android, when recording a ride select Settings and select Keep the Screen On. To center the ride select the button shown on the map. Now, try doing that with gloves when it is cold.......... Edit: Sorry, missed the update.........

    Anybody tried Clik tire valves?

Too funny,..........but wait until you're my age and it may become more important. I still may try a couple of Click valves.........................

    Fender flaps or extenders?

I used Defender Series fenders on my old Specialized Pitch 650B and my wife's Cannondale F9. To keep mud and sand off the crank we mounted Planet Bike mud guards which are designed to be mounted at the top of the down tube. We mounted them in front of the crank instead. The combo worked...

Any recommendations for a lightweight ebike conversion kit for road bikes?

I haven't seen the details on the MAX+ as it relates to thru axle compatibility. I have a Turbo Tero so the Swytch rides quite differently than my bike. I am about 180 lb and it has enough power for moderate hills with me on it. My son is lighter and it performs well for him. He gets about 12 mi...

Any recommendations for a lightweight ebike conversion kit for road bikes?

I added a Swytch Kit to my son's Specialized Rockhopper 27.5. It added very little weight and performs well for a cadence sensor. Does not appear to add any rolling resistance with it powered off. Has limited range using the smallest batteries they sell so he carries a spare although they have...

    New X-Peak

lol ... I was going to refer to it as a "Tank Slapper" which is what we used to call it, but I figured I would date myself. .... I would assume the Lectric step through is the same inherent problem but additional flex in the frame architecture may also contribute. Unfortunately, maybe...

    New X-Peak

Actually, I misspoke, it was 50 years ago when I was riding small Japanese street bikes .... sigh.

    New X-Peak

40 years ago we used to buy steering dampers on some of the lighter Kawasaki and Honda street bikes. Wobbles were usually weight distribution related and easily solved. Check out this video: "My Lectric XPeak High Step Wobble GONE"
