I own 2 Specialized ebikes. A $10,000 Creo SL expert and a Vado 5.0. Asking Specialized for help is pointless. My Creo started making a motor noise/whine a year ago. Specialized says it is normal. It did not make that noise when I bought it. No other Creo owner had that noise when new. Now I am...
I had the Rock Shox installed after reading this. I had 9700 miles on my bike and front end. I have about 200 plus miles on this set up and I am pleased with the ride. Thank you for all the info you and others reported.
I am having a whining noise now in my Trek XM700 at 10.000 miles. Been good but there is something causing the motor to whine. Gonna have to take to LBS and see what they say.
BOth my XMs get a sound like chain slap. Make sure the clutch is engaged, (found on the rear derailleur. Then I had the motor opened and found that the chain slaps against 2 tabs inside the motor housing. I put a little piece of electric tape on the tabs and the sound was good. It returns every...
So just want to report that customer service at Bosch will not answer questions and has no interest in whether we repurchase their products. That is a company that has made too much money. I know it is a good product but I can switch to Shimano going forward. Chris, my LBS has done plenty...
Thanks. That answers one question. Now all I need to know is whether the update affected my range. I have a 500 and 400 pack and both seem to have dropped range since the update. I am willing to consider alternative possibilities, (like number of cycles) but given the timing, that is the best...
If you were looking at that used bike here in Dallas, it might be worth your time to visit the Richardson Bike Mart in Richardson TX. They have a lot of ebikes, they let you test drive and they have good support and clout with manufacturers. I find it helpful to have a shop which can get the...
I have two 2017, Trek XM 700 ebikes. I recently had a factory update done and now my bike is doing some quirky things such as the light comes on automatically when turning the battery on. My range dropped on both my batteries also. Since I purchased the first bike a year ago, I have tried to...
I enjoyed my Dash. Put 2000 miles each on 2 of them before I upped to a Trek XM700. I would not hesitate to buy a Dash despite having battery issues. Multiple batteries begins to address that. IZip batteries run around $600 and chargers are $75 or so. On a good battery I went 35-40 miles in low...
Just FYI, I bought an IZIP after Stromer would not provide warranty support because I was not the original owner. I bought my Stromer with 60 miles on it. Battery died at 75 miles. Finally got it resolved but they asserted they do not warranty beyond original purchaser.
