    Gen 1 motors support?

Thanks both of you. I didn't realise the Gen 1 never was offered in the US. :) The Gen 2 were announced in August 2012 and if it true what Bosch declared earlier, that they will provide support for systems minimum for 7 years after production is dropped, then the Gen 1 systems have passed this 7...

    Gen 1 motors support?

Has Bosch finally dropped the support for the Gen 1 systems? Local bike shop told a customer with a Scott E-Venture 2012 that they can no longer do diagnostics or maintenance on the Bosch system. @Chris Nolte might know?

Kiox retrofit kit - anyone done it?

Bosch now officially sells a Kiox retrofit kit for all almost all Gen 2/3/4 motors (see list on the linked page). Anyone done this? I am tempeted with my 1:st generation Supercharger with Performance Speed Gen 2 motor. Unsure how difficult it is to thread the new cable through the frame...

    GPS tracker ideas

Austrian manufacturer PowUnity has one. Although it comes with a data plan that's valid for whole of European union, so I don't know if it fits you (where are you located?). https://powunity.com/produkt/gps-tracker-bosch-e-bike

    GPS tracker ideas

The AirTag seems quite worthless for tracking of anything if it relies on other users phones to work. And if the thieves have iPhones they'll get a popup saying "Hey there's a stolen bike nearby you that another user is looking for", I have no doubt the AirTag is located and removed within 2...

    Studded tires for Supercharger

Sad to say we did not have more than 4 days out of the last 60 with freezing temperatures, so most of the days I've ridden on paved roads did not need studded tires. I wonder how many km the studs will last? If next winter will be as warm as this one, I have no use of the studded tires.

    New Bosch Nyon 2020 preview

I was dead sure the Nyon was a product being pahsed out since the introduction of the COBI related systems. But not so.. Bosch made a teaser for a new Nyon to be released later in 2020.

What is the expected lifespan of the Bosch drive unit?

I have now about 9200 km (5600 miles) on my Gen 2 Bosch Performance Speed and it's working flawlessly.

    Abus keyed-alike options

For my gen. 1 Supercharger I ordered a Abus 5750L frame lock (keyed alike the Bordo 6000 and battery locks already on the bike) and a mount plate from Riese & Müller. (Link Removed - No Longer Exists) Maybe they have something like that for the Supercharger2 as well? I opted for the chain as...

    Studded tires for Supercharger

After about 900 km (560 miles) they ride more or less the same as the original Rock Razors. Although still very noisy..

    Studded tires for Supercharger

I gave the bike a good cleanup yesterday, it was practically mud brown from the last two rainy months on partly gravel roads. At the same time I slapped on the Ice Spiker Pro tires. They fit well and ride quite ok, a bit more tracking than my Super Moto-X but I guess I'll get used to it. And...

    Studded tires for Supercharger

Any recommendations on studded tires for a Supercharger? The original Rock Razors (57-584) are now replaced for Super Moto-X 62-584. But winter is coming and thus icy roads. I'm riding daily 64 km mostly on paved roads. I don't expect a lot of snow, but temperatures can be around freezing so...

    Battery Replacement?

I was convinced my batteries were degarding (R&M Supercharger GX Rohloff HS dual battery) after about 1 year and 6000 km. When the bike was brand new I got about 85-90 km with fully charged batteries. Today I barely get 70 km out of them some days. When thinking about it though, I concluded it...

2020 Riese & Müller Load Review

What a fantastic presentation. For those of us already interested in the old Load it really highlights the differencens. I know the Load 75 is a big bike. How hard, would you (@Chris Nolte ) say it is to pedal at higher speeds compared to a Supercharger? I have the Supercharger HS Rohloff and...
