Hi Jan. Yeah that's going to be too small for my brother thank you though. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. I'm pretty familiar with the Haibike's as i own 2 of thier mountain bikes. I love em thats why i inquired. Take care
Hey Jan thanks for the quick reply. I was looking at the bike for my brother. The xs frame might not be big enough for him and its the ladies frame. Im going to get ahold of him and see what he thinks. I think he was looking for something with a 50 to 60 mile range and that 400 might be right on...
Hi Jan. Is the bike still for sale? Did you swap that battery off of your bike? I see how the letters do not align between the battery in the frame. It doesn't spell out Haibike completely. I know the batteries are interchangeable as I have a trek with what appears to be the same battery pack...
Ive got the rad mini and this bike. The rad gets me 40 miles easy. Mostly flat. I weigh 190# . i also have fat road tires on rad. The rad is better bike but barely. After i ride this one then get on rad mini there is waaay less room to stand over cross bar. Feel cramped on rad. ( more room...
Hey Browneye. I looked at speed sensor on my bike and its to far back on my bike to try just moving the magnet. The crank arm wont reach it. Looked closer at sensor and it does have whats called a "security torx" bolt on it. I dont know if thats what you ment by proprietary bolt on yours. If so...
That works for speed. But for extended range you should pedal with some resistance to help the motor work less. You might as well set pas and just use throttle. Im not saying you have to work hard but help some.
Yes i have 11 set to 1 too. If you start out in pas 1 from a stop you can feel the motor engage faster but if you are rolling along at about12-15mph and have pas set at 5 it takes several revolutions of the crank to feel the assist as the bike is cycling through pas 1 through 4. Setting 12 to 5...
A trailer might be tricky make sure you get one that attatches to the seat post because a lot of them attatch to the frame right in front of the rear hub. Guess what? These bikes dont have that bar that extends from the rear hub to the crank( pedal area). If you want a child seat you should get...
Yay youtube! I have fixed every appliance in my house, my truck, my lawnmower, motorcycles and my bikes all thanks to you tube. Its allready jacked up why not try to fix it right?
kevcentral did his third review on this bike and he recomends a bottle holder you can put on the handle bar post. It looks pretty good because it appears just to be a mounting bracket that you can screw any bottle holder into. I bought one that clamped onto the same post but had the bottle...
You can get them from the rad power bikes website they seem to be cheapest there also get the larger 20x4.25 tubes i think you may be able to find the tubes cheaper somewhere else but not the tires
Sno kid posted a link for battery alternatives on page 11 in this thread. I have been eyeballing them but waiting for somebody else to buy one first. I measured my battery and they appear to be a fit if you get the larger one. In 2 weeks the 48v 14 amp hour went from about $320 us to $518
