You are absolutely correct for some reason I thought it had a setting to limit the output of the controller, the worst that could happen is to burn out the motor or wires but since it is being assembled with parts I had stitting around I’m not overly worried about it to much.

I usually ride the Pinellas Trail out of St Petersburg so it’s a flat surface except for a few bridges, makes for a nice relaxing ride.

Thanks for your input, since I live in Florida I very seldom see hills, I also pedal all the time, going to use a S830 display which I understand has the capability of limiting the amps to the motor

Actually the controller/ display were used on a 500w rated motor since i only use the throttle from a stop briefly and normally ride in PAS 2, i’ll take the chance of burning up the motor, call it a science project

I have a L-train, gates belt, 7 speed igh , looking to install a mid motor with a 500 or 750w, I realize I need to upgrade to a cdx belt and sprocket , looking for suggestions to brand to use, prefer a PAS (old guy), currently I have a 52v17a batter to use.

I have a dj ebike basket case I recently obtained. The major problem with it is the rear hub wiring ,some of the wires at the axle are grounding out, looking to replace/repair loom. Does anyone know where to get it repaired or is it cheaper to replace it. It’s a 500w Bafang.

I was able to isolate the wire and using electrical tape to isolate it from the axle shaft, turn on the battery, display is functional but when I use the throttle a code 24 comes on, motor hall signal, indicating no connection between motor and controller, I guess that why I picked it up for $100,

The wiring loom goes thru the axle the exposed wire looks like it was do to rubbing at the slot opening in the axle, going to take the wheel off this morning and see if I can some how insulate the wire.

I don’t have a picture at this moment. One of the wires on the power code going into the rear hub has the insulation off causing it to short to the axle.

500w rear hub on a dj mountain bike, broken wires at axle, any suggestions who would be able to put in a new cable
