Loose spokes or insufficient tension is a huge root cause for most spoke breakage. This is a popular problem for most mass production bike and our bikes are no exception. However the spoke breakage on some of the earlier bikes were due to the poor fitment of spokes. The 12g spokes did not...
I believe that the bike is using a KMC chain so you can just cut the chain and rejoin it with a KMC missing link (1 link about $3-5). I noticed that the chain on my CCA was too long but it didn't find out until i replaced the chain this pass week.
I thought it was pretty odd as well i have torqued it down pretty good and there are two other bolts on the same bracket. Since i have noticed the problem since the first mile after the install i have just went back to the original mounting holes for the time being. :/
It will be compatible but once you mount the rack on you will know why I feel that it mounts too high comparing to other bikes. I am excited for the 500w bikes to come out. I am wondering how much faster will they be.
It does come with a set of holes for a regular rack (disk brake type rack needed) but it mounts the rack pretty high and forward that's why some owners wants an alternative mounting spot.
After riding a few weeks with my rack mounted similar to the one mention above I started noticing some weird power issue. The only reason I can come up with is that the new mounting position is affecting the torque sensor readings. After relocating the rack or the factory mounting holes the...
Hello! i am not a big guy but i use to sell bikes to customers of many difference size so here is my two cents.
Size: I would find out the top tube length of your current bike (google for measurement) and compare that to with the frame spec of the XXL frame.
Tires: The tires should be...
I have a good reason to believe that 13, 12 gauge spokes would be strong enough for normal usage since we only have the 500 watt motor. Personally i would take hand build wheels over machine build wheels any day. The wheels spoke lace pattern is the same as the pattern used on other wheels so...
Glad to hear, if not I was planning to rebuild the wheel when I get a chance. I think the spokes were a mm or two too long. I wasn't able get the tension I want before the threads bottom out.
I have used DT before so they are quality indeed but the size, length and gauge makes it hard to find. I am crossing my fingers on my spokes. I notice in general spokes fail due to under tension but the quality can play a huge part. As new as the bikes are I would say the quality might be a...
Hello, i can't speak for other CC airs but the spoke tension on my rear wheel was kind of off when i got the bike so i trued and tension up the wheels before i took it on any long rides. Your local bike shop should be able to help you with that and the spokes are in stock on amazon.
Hello! I have a topeak rack that is made for a disc brake bike. https://www.amazon.com/Topeak-Explorer-Tubular-Mount-16-5x6-7x16-3-Inch/dp/B005YPRCMA/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1501292432&sr=8-14&keywords=topeak+bike+rack it fits well and did pretty well when i used it on a bike camping trip i...
Thanks for the write up! I have the step thru version of the bike and the same rack. With my current config I have to tilt the rack a couple of degrees off center in order for my rack pannier/bag to not interfere with my seat. So by going with your setup I will be able to lower the rack to...
