    Saying hi from Ireland ☘️

Yes, welcome! We e-biked in Ireland last year. Killarney was very pretty, but rural roads were too narrow and congested for my comfort.

    Comfortable E bike seat

Sorry to hear of such painful saddle experiences. Me, @73+ years and 145lbs with a boney bum have total comfort on my Bontrager Fluid saddles. I have them on 3 bikes and recently turned a total >22,000 miles. Always comfortable! be sure to use a cushioned seat post.

    Throttles and California

THC gummies can do that. Enhanced rides are a wonderful way to re-awake the regular ride. I never ride unenhanced.

    Throttles and California

E-bikes have motors. Gas scooters have engines. Motors OK. Engines not Ok. That is a clear distinction provided by the AZ public safety to apply to motorized vehicles on shared-use paths. And my myopic definition is a throttle bike is a motorized scooter and no longer a bicycle. but I am an...

    Verve 3+ Gen 3 Lowstep

Yes, I had a Range Extender on my Verve 3, but it wasn’t a low step. Next I have one on my Allant 7s, but it is a tight fit on my Allant 8s Stagger. per range, I have seen 285+ displayed in Eco. I push very fast and hard when riding solo and can get 55-60 miles of Turbo at max cadence. It’s...

    Protecting E-Bikes While Transporting Them

We have transported our bikes cross country 2x / yr between WI & AZ for many years. 2 sleeps and 1,800 miles. what we do: tried high value covers but disliked the flapping. bikes are made to conquer the elements. We leave ours bare but plug the battery plugs. Batteries always out of bikes...

I am putting it up for the winter. Do I keep the battery (about 60% charged now) inside for the winter? Anything else?

Of prime importance after a long period without charging is to do a complete charge — not those 80% quickies. The importance of that last 20% is battery cell balancing. Charge-balancing all of the individual cells stacked inside the battery.A smart charger, as is incorporated into most quality...

Looking for other bike makers that have an offering similar to Trek Verve+ 4S.

Why not get the 4s? It is an excellent bike.

    Lights off ?

Some manufacturers, e.g. Trek default the lights to always on. per Trek, the function behind the on/off control SlapHappy correctly describes can only be enabled via Trek’s maintenance and set-up software which is unavailable to mere mortals. Ask your Tech if that same always on default...

    FX+ 7S?

No direct experience but high regards from a Trek employee who has one (my brother). Comparatively, I have an Allant 7s that is a bit heavier but just as nimble and quick. Also have Allant 8s and Verve+3. I would definitely consider the FX+7s given it all of the quality componentry and very...

Difference Between Performance Line Sport vs Speed

Coincidence, my 1st ebike was a Verve+3 but decided a class 1 did not meet my need for speed. We rode Gazelles (150 miles) in August on a bike tour in Idaho and liked the bike but the model was a class 1. Surely the Gazelle class 3 model would be more to my style.
