HEALTH BATTERY DROPPED FROM 98 TO 93% IN FEWS DAY

Hi f1, I have a 2019 Explore E+3 and check the battery statistics every once in a while. I have seen the Battery Health drop when I have been doing partial charges up to 80%. After a couple of cycles letting the battery go down to 20% and then charging completely to 100% the Battery Health...

    Giant Explore vs Liv Amiti

Hi Randall, I have a 2019 Explore E+3, and it is rated for 70Nm torque and that has been more than enough for me. Totally satisfied with the power for the bike's intended use (roads, pups, trails and maybe a little off road use but not really mountain biking). I think the only time you might...

Giant Explore E 3 (2019) battery keyhole wobbly

My 2019 Explore is almost two years old now, and the lock and keyhole are still secured tight and don't wobble. Not normal, if you remove the battery you might be able to see how the lock can be tightened up.

Ride Control App - displays Contact Dealer and then closes

In addition to @Browneye 's great suggestions, another thing to try is to remove the battery from your bike for a few minutes and then put it back in and try the update. Hey browneye, how many updates have you had on your Explore E+3 and what versions does your app show you are running...

Ride Control App - displays Contact Dealer and then closes

Hi @new_ebiker, thanks for the tip on being able to update your firmware using android. I had tried on two different iphones and kept getting the same message. I installed RideControl on a Kindle Fire tablet (had toinstall Google Play first) and was finally able to update the firmware.

    Tuning in Ride Control

Hi Oscar, Phantom looks like a great bike! Defaults are a little different on the Explore E+, I adjusted the settings a little lower than default on my Explore E+ so it fits where/how I ride and maybe gives me a little more range. Almost all of my riding is on roads and mups. Completely...

Ride Control App - displays Contact Dealer and then closes

My Explore E+ 3 is a year and a half old and I've been using the Ride Control App on my iphone to check battery status without any issues. Today, whenever I start the app, it displays a message "Contact Dealer" and then immediately closes. Anyone else experience this and have any idea what it...

    Delimiting the 20mph assist

Badass 4 works well, I used it for a few months. It really helps you in 8th and 9th gears on the Explore, letting you get your cadence up without hitting the cutoff wall. I wasn't too worried about overstressing the motor because Giant used the same motor SyncDrive Sport in their Quick E+...

    New Schwalbe Marathon E Plus

Great looking tires, should be a much smoother ride than the stock tires and the Schwalbe Marathon Plus (no E). Once you get them on and take them for a ride post a review to let us know how you like them!

Photochromic sunglasses - yes or no?

Maybe the best solution to solve the sudden change from light to dark is a high quality pair of flip-up sunglasses. https://www.rudyprojectna.com/products/exception?_pos=2&_sid=a347b2bcc&_ss=r&variant=17466926530625 Another thing to consider that might help your transition into the darker...

    Know Your Average Stopping Distance?

LOL, the article I linked was referring to the difference between the weight of a drum and disc brake not being of concern to a "professional downhill bike", nothing to do about the rider weight itself. The calculator does have an "adhesion coefficient" if you want to play around with it. It...

    Know Your Average Stopping Distance?

You are correct that one of the topics being discussed is safety, but the title is "Knowing your Average Stopping Distance" and there are at least 10 posts talking about speed, stopping distance, and how long it takes to stop, so my post was on topic. In fact, you made the first comment...

    Know Your Average Stopping Distance?

There's a lot of skill involved in making panic stops and I'm willing to bet that a large majority of riders (me included) never practice them at high speed. Here's another calculator. The only real takeaway from any braking calculator is that they follow the same general rule, increasing...

    best tire for explorer +2

Sorry to hear about your mishap, glad you're okay. I have Schwalbe Marathon Plus on my Explore, and they are good tires, but don't ride as well as the original tires did. The problem with the Marathon Plus is they just don't have as much volume to cushion out the ride. Schwalbe came out with...
