    Bike Computer/Speedometer Recommendation for eBike

Sir BlackHand that was my thought as well. I'm going to try it and report back. Love this community. You guys have been such a great help to me, someone who is so intimated by all things DIY on these ebikes.

    Bike Computer/Speedometer Recommendation for eBike

Thank you everyone for your suggestions and tips. Rad is out of stock of the displays for the RadExpand 5 - only have the new, color displays for the + series. I also got a response back from Cateye which I am including here: "our cyclocomputers, both wireless and wired, are not designed to...

    Bike Computer/Speedometer Recommendation for eBike

Hi There - I have a RadCity Expand 5 that doesn't have a digital display. When I was able to ride my road bike I had a CatEye cycling computer. Will wireless cycling computers work with ebikes? Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Looking for a cadence sensor commuting bike-where did they all go?

Everyone thank you very much for your thoughtful and very helpful replies, plus health tips and bike models. I am fascinated by the concept of having both. When I called Aventon and asked about that they said Torque only and by then it was too late to return it. I feel better educated now...

Looking for a cadence sensor commuting bike-where did they all go?

Hi There - I have a old and dying Rad City 5 with a cadence sensor that has since been discontinued. I have arthritis in my knees and hips and have a hard time pedaling without a cadence sensor. I had purchased an Aventon Level 2 but struggled with the fit (handle bars to forward) plus the...

Condensation in Display=Sudden Loss of Motor Power

Good luck and please do. I replaced the malfunctioning controller with Rad's new external controller. I believe they call it the Indiana model. It sits outside of the downtube and works great.

Condensation in Display=Sudden Loss of Motor Power

Hi Slfu Chat - hope all is well with you in Belgium! Rad sent me a replacement display at no cost for my Rad City Plus 5 but that did not fix the issue. Continued to have the engine cut outs. The real problem was a faulty controller, which they replaced but I had to pay $100, which was worth it...

Level 2 - Torque Sensor Question

Hi There PedalUma - Thank you for the response. I checked and my L2 only has the Torque sensor and a throttle but not a cadence sensor. Roger

Level 2 - Torque Sensor Question

Thank you, Jeremy-this makes perfect sense and I get it now! Yes, it was ghost peddling that I was referring to :) Roger

Level 2 - Torque Sensor Question

Hi Jeremy, Thank you very much. I tried what you suggested and could the results that you mentioned on P2 and P3. Definitely felt the difference. Is it correct to state then that unlike my old Rad, where going up assist levels didnt require me to pedal any harder, on a bike with a torque...

Level 2 - Torque Sensor Question

Hi There I recently purchased a Level 2. It's a very different ride from my previous ebike (Rad City Plus 5) which seemed to always have the motor going and made peddling easier, I like the feel of the L2 as it seems closer to actual riding and I get a very good workout from it, plus battery...

New Rad City 5 Plus Controller Replacement-Is it an External Mount Now?

Closing the loop here and thanking everyone who responded. In response to Carcosa View question. I have had a number of issues with my RadCity Plus which, while under warranty Rad was great to address. My issue is that I am not mechanically inclined, so I need help getting parts replaced...
